My movie count for last year was less than 3 (excluding Joker), but based on the trailer, I believe that it ranks among the best. Is any of you a fan of animations?

It is never that serious for me around this time of the year, so I cannot think of anything I should be doing. Things are about to get into them, and we will all be back to our busy schedules that don't need procrastination!

You know we all thought that the reading culture was gone, but then young people are taking up the challenge and making a mark. I have set a yearly target of 50 books this year and do agree that a book club can be of great help.

We also make odd bets that never involve money, and it gets complicated when money is involved. The think about gambling is that it soon becomes a cycle where you win now and lose the next minute. The psychological aspect can be draining!

Ditto to this, but at times I find gift cards restrictive. Again, they are usually more popular among gift-givers that receivers. Apart from appearing impersonal, they can easily get lost.

It has never been my thing despite knowing a couple of people who place wagers. There's the usual urge to give it a try, but the thought of getting addicted to gambling scares me. What about you?

I am also not a big fan of movies with a musical plot, but a fantasy film based on a stage musical is already appealing. The cast includes Jason Derulo, Idris Elba, Jennifer Hudson and Taylor Swift. Hopefully, it lives to its billing, considering the budget of £230 million.

The holiday mood is already here, and you can already see the pomp and colour that's usual with this time of the year. I'll Be Home For Christmas by Bing Crosby is an absolute classic, a moving tribute for soldiers fighting in World War II, that couldn't get home.

Oh yes @ShadowEdge, there's nothing as fulfilling as being on course with meeting targets and goals. Each book I have read has had a unique impact, but I would single out When Breath Becomes Air (Paul Kalanithi), Dreams From My Father (Barack Obama) and Dark Money (Jane Mayer) as being clear favourites.

Three months ago, I decided to spend more time reading books. I came up with a reading challenge, hoping to have finished 30 books by the end of the year. It sounded unrealistic, yet I am almost half-way through. I have never felt so good about myself before!

We learn new things each passing day, and this thread has brought out a different approach that may not augur well with a lot of people. All that you say is true, only that each person likes to look at a situation from a personal point of view. Does the end justify the means all the time?

I was the kind of person who would give my all at work but get lazy when it was about managing my time. There are those moments when the body seems to give in, but for some time now, I have been successful at pushing myself beyond certain limits.

I know a lot of celebrities that are ageing well but Alfre Woodard, Antonio Banderas, BD Wong, Bryan Cranston and Denzel Washington, quickly come to mind. It takes more than just genes and a healthy lifestyle to achieve this.

I agree with you @Poppy about there being a lot of negativity around the idea of marriage. We quickly forget that no two couples are the same. People who keep whining about their spouses, while creating a 'perfect' image of themselves, are flatly dishonest, in my opinion. @Zack T that is a unique way of deriving happiness, but I know a lot of people who wouldn't advocate for it. For how long have you been in this relationship?

Survivor and The Amazing Race were my best reality shows ever. Lately, I haven't been so consistent but Top Chef, America's Got Talent, and The Worst Cooks in America are my other favourites. I just added The Great British Bake Off to my 'to-watch' list. Is it too late to play catch up?

Most sportspersons retire at the climax of their careers. Khabib Nurmagomedov, the Lightweight UFC champion boasts one of the best records. According to him, staying undefeated is no mean fete. He plans to retire in two to three years because "a lot of young and hungry guys are coming."

Ooh yes, I heard about the injury to their star player, but I had no idea that some mistakes cost them as well. I need to go back to following my favourite basketball team because it is an exciting sport, both on and off the court.

I forgot to add basketball to the list. It used to be my favourite sport while growing up. If I'm not mistaken, the Golden State Warriors lost this year's playoffs despite the odds being in their favour?

Global warming is real and is as a result of the human expansion of the "greenhouse effect". Human activity is gradually changing the natural greenhouse. Burning of fossil fuels like coal has kept increasing the concentration of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

I enjoy watching soccer and athletics. There is still a long way to go with the rugby world cup, and at this point, it is difficult to give a prediction of the eventual winner. I don't know much about cricket or golf, but I find myself following tournaments in these categories.

Besides passion, a good YouTuber is consistent and understands whatever topic is in question. The ability to connect to the audience and answer most if not all of their queries, is equally important.
