  1. @Poppy Yes, I can still drink wine, but can't enjoy a ciggy with it. I thought I'd be my father's age before my body started turning into rubbish. Thanks for listening to me whinge.
  2. @Pumba I never look on YouTube which is just pathetic, but I always assume the popular matches are taking down as soon as someone puts them up due to copyright infringement. I'm heading there now. Thanks for the tip!
  3. Well, I missed it. Did you all watch? How do you think he did? I remember him as being scrappy. Hopefully, he's getting back in the game and will hold his on.
  4. That sounds unreasonable really. For every step that graphics cards advance, game creators will push things that much further. The creative arts always advances; technology always advances. Isn't that how it works?
  5. Well, I'm beginning to feel like an old man. I've got high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm supposed to eat healthy whilst staying away from beer. Is anyone else falling apart? Feel like heading down to the pub for some water with me?
  6. I'm going with Mean Girls since I'm not a Riverdale viewer. Which wrestling tag-team would you rather partner with, The New Day or The Hardy Boyz?
  7. I didn't like the last version of Halo and won't grab this one, but maybe they're branching out and trying to set themselves apart from the others.

    Console Wars

Ah, I love your avatar mate. I switch often between gaming devices depending on which game I'm playing and whether I want something portable. I had to stop playing as much on my PC when the demand for graphics cards from Bitcoin miners drove up the prices. I switch between Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, tablets, and phone. I have some old school equipment like the Wii, but I never use it. For me it's Xbox over Playstation every time.
  9. That's a good point about Bellator Heavyweight division. Mirko Cro Cop is still popular, but he used HGH and plasma then acted like a huge prat over his minor punishment. Paige Van Zant's career is bizarre because she came out fighting hard then just sort of stopped. Right now it seems like she wants to look great and be admired. She already had that before fighting so I'm baffled by the whole thing. Maybe she just got scared after having her bell rung.

    The Story Lines

@Evelyn, once you start to realize that most of it is made-up you'll begin feeling frustrated at the McMahon family for messing it all up. Sometimes it feels like Vince McMahon is bent on wrecking things. Or, I might be the rare fan who holds unflinching resentment about some of the calls. @TynBox The "ingredients" are much the same as it's always been, except for the lasses who wrestle. Their feuds center around talent more than beauty/men as it used to be.
  11. One of the most overrated UFC fighters of all time is former heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar. The man is a brilliant trash-talker, but a mediocre fighter at best. In my mind Lesnar will always be the fighter who tried to cheat his way to victory. It's pathetic that he couldn't pass his USADA drug tests and blamed it all on foot cream. Which UFC fighters do you believe are more about hype than fighting skill?
  12. You have a strong point, North, but there have been so many remakes and reboots by every film studio lately that it's just enough for me. It's lazy script writing, directing, and producing. It's rubbish to spend that much on a movie ticket for banal drivel! Our technology has changed; however, Frozen doesn't seem more real or more touchable than Disney's original Cinderella.
  13. No, I tend to get it all wrong actually. I predicted that Brexit wouldn't happen and that Hillary Clinton would be elected in the United States. I'm rubbish at predictions.
  14. Hands down it's got to be Brendan Fraser's performance as Nathan Fowler ("the bad guy"). I'm used to seeing Fraser in the role of the good guy or the goofy, dorky man. I was surprised he was slated to play Nathan Fowler, but he's very good at portraying the menacing and conniving role. It's an amazing transformation.
  15. Condor falls into the thriller-action genre as Joe Turner, a CIA analyst, has his life turned upside down by a computer algorithm. The storyline is incredible relatable and reminds me that in today's world, Big Brother is always watching and Big Brother can always find you. The programme reminds me of The Americans, except instead of watching the action involving the Cold War, you're actually living it since we're all susceptible to the overreaching surveillance laws, hackers, corrupt officials, dirty money, and computer algorithms that can go wrong. Are you watching Condor? What do you think about it so far?
  16. I was just stunned. I cheered when Arya got revenge and it led to my favorite quote, "leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe." Hodor's death was crushing as was learning that Bran's warging might have accidentally caused Hodor's simplemindedness. I also hated seeing Summer, Bran's direwolf, make the ultimate sacrifice so that Bran could escape. "The Door" was a tough episode.
  17. Disney is doing the same thing that all the other big companies are doing - remaking what's already been done. I've never liked any version better than the original and I wish they'd focus on creating new material. These remakes are just lazy.

    Myers-Briggs

@Hal, do you think chatting online suits your introversion better than face-to-face conversations? I've always wondered about that. I'm an ENTJ - or at least I was years ago when I took the test at uni.
  19. @Hal, I did! It was an excellent recommendation. The movie is packed with an all-star cast and I always enjoy watching Rachel McAdams. I think she and Jason Bateman played off each other well. The behaviour was more violent than I expected and not quite as good as Clue (cult classic) but it's worth a watch. Definitely a switch from hero programmes.
  20. Game Night sounds a bit like the movie Clue which I thought was fantastic. I know it's not new, but that's fine with me. My computer screen will suffice in a pinch in place of a large theater screen Thanks for mentioning it Hal. I'm going to rent it from Amazon.
  21. Well, I used to hate cats until one moved into my flat with me. Now, I think they're the bees knees. Or at least my fuzzy princess is the bees knees. Weddings are awful. They drag on. The clothes you have to wear are uncomfortable. They're expensive to throw and they're expensive to attend. I'm still on the "weddings are terrible" bandwagon. I hate to hear that we've lost you to the dark side mate.
  22. I've seen every hero themed movie that's come out these past couple of years and they've been great. I'm sick of the genre though. Are any great comedies coming out that you're looking forward to seeing?
  23. I could live without a physical telly, since it's possible to stream movies and programmes through my computer and tablet, but I wouldn't want to. I like to have both going at the same time when it fancies me. Plus, the storms still cause WiFi problems which makes streaming rather awful. Some people use their telly screen as their computer monitor. I see no reason for dumping it.
  24. I'm not entirely sure but I think you could ride a rhino, ostrich, and swordfish at various points. That might have been in the first Donkey Kong Country too. I struggled with the ship mast levels as well on Donkey Kong Country 2. The rising water made my hands sweat from nerves.
  25. Do you order takeaway fairly often or is it an every once in a while treat? Lately, I've been snagging Chinese takeaway on Friday evenings which is more often than I should according to the belly that is trying to settle in.
