  1. The only game that ever made me cry was Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Dreamcast. Though FF7 and FF10 came close too. Spiritchaser Blubbing

  6. :xyx Hey Gang, Just a little question here, after watching Raw on Monday I thought to myself does Edge have a point? Has he been overlooked and "screwed" by all and sundry? I think Mr Copeland does make a good argument for his case, you? Spiritchaser On the Edge :thumbsup
  7. Personally for me Bret Hart is a Legend and a classy human being, whether he is like that in a professional capacity is another matter. As for Terry Bollea...well to be honest, I prefered ThunderLips....meatball. My younger brother used to mark out big time for The Hulkster, but I was watching WCW and Mean Mark and Arn Anderson and Sting and Sid Vicious ad it wasn't until Mark Calloway became The Undertaker did I really take an avid interest in WWF television programming. I previously watched it only because my Bro had it on, and I loved the colour commentary from all the guys, but Hogan never actually hooked me I prefered Macho and Jesse Ventura. So for one who saw both guys in their prime, for me Bret deserves his "pops" but Hogan doesn't and that is because Hogan had it all given to him by Vince all he needed to do was be bigger than everyone else. Bret worked his ass off to be taken seriously by the fans and I remember quite clearly when he won me over his victory over Yoko after losing to Owen, was sheer breathtaking Championship material. I am not saying that Hogan is not an icon in pro wrestling but I thik he is the lucky one and not Bret, I think Bret worked harder for it. Spiritchaser Ethic
  8. Pops dude crowd cheers! Spiritchaser Mark Noises
  9. :xyx Hey Gang. There is a bit of a conversation being struck about whether Bret or Hulkster deserves to get the "pops" the do, so I thought why not find out who thinks what eh! I have given four options so I can work out why you think someone deserves the "pops" more than you think someone doesn't and vice versa Spiritchaser Popping
  10. Bret or Hogan sounds like a god poll, I'm on it. Spiritchaser Pollster
  11. :xyx Hey Gang! Just wondering, after the last invasion of WCW/ECW into WWF/E programming, do you think it is time for SmackDown to invade Raw or vice versa? Michael Cole could be kidnapped by Snitsky and Tazz would have to defend "Girl Pants" etc.... Or Batista could interfere in another Taker match.... or JR could get attacked by Heidentripe, or JBL could be forced to face H3, because he can't get his hands on the Raw Title? Just wondering, what would your storylines consist of? Luther Reigns Vs Batista, Snitsky Vs Heidentripe, Orton Vs Cena? Whatever? Spiritchaser Wonderer/Ponderer :thumbsup
  12. Right try this on then, who will enter the WWE Hall of Fame at this years Mania? Any WWE contractors? Spiritchaser Wondering
  13. And Taker draws based on being The Deadman. Like The Rolling Stones, lots of people have seen them but others still do!. Spiritchaser Phenom
  14. I have trained in Shotokan Karate, Tai Chi, Boxing and have spent endless hours grappleing and hooking the male members of my family since I was about 9 years old. This does not make me hard, this makes me tough to beat. Bruce Lee got the closest to having the perfect fighting style "be like water". One way to be a hard guy is to be difficult to knock out or even down. In boxing you are taught to keep your chin tucked into your chest, in order to make it difficult for your oppo to catch you on the chin, it is when you lose your cool or your concentration that you are open to being KO'd. I Shotokan you are taught to strike clean and often and to not think about what your oppo is doing only what you are going to do. Tai Chi (Fighting Style) teaches you to slow down your oppo and to use his aggresion against him. All however teach you discipline and concentration, and how to use your mind and experience to choose the best manouvre for the right time, that is why I think that despite his age Taker is still one of the toughest men alive not just in WWE, because of his mental toughness, and Kurt Angle because of his discipline. Puder still has a lot to prove to me one Kimura does not make a hard man, just a technically sound man. Lesnar may be a big man but he has a little heart and that is how you break Brock. Spiritchaser Chess Master
  15. Well hardest or toughest? Over a career Taker has been toughest, no argument. Yes he has had injuries but not to the same extent as HBK,Austin,Angle and many other stars, he has never been truly put down, to the point of needing major neck or career ending surgery, he has niggling injuries to his knees, hips and legs etc... but after 14 years that is not bad going. Hardest, Angle without doubt, he won an Olympic Gold Medal in Freestyle Wrestling with a broken frickin' neck, now that is hard. Chris Benoit is also a bona fide hard case. But toughest Taker without a doubt, he is as tough as old boot leather. Spiritchaser Bloodied but not Broken
  16. Hey Christof Where did you get the picture of my girl's family at the match? Spiritchaser So Calm I'm Horizontal
  17. I respect all the opinions here but....... I have always had a MASSIVE problem with pornographic material not being shown on TV at any time of the day and yes even when children are about. Morally, I think that if you make sex mysterious it leads to more problems when "children" reach puberty. Sex is and always has been with us it is part of life and when you tell kids to not do something what do they do? Yeah, they do it. I think it is pretty hypocritical to shout from a moral standpoint about the thing everyone does or has done or will do and is the most beautiful experience most folks will ever have, even if it is for a moment in time, when there are guns on the streets and every day we are bombarded with pictures of dead bodies washed up on the shores in Asia or the war dead being shown on the news when children are at home having the dinner. That to me is more distressing than watching two people have sex and even from an early age the act of procreation was no big mystery or no big deal to me, the only problem I had was getting some. I would much rather watch porn than war or death disease and famine, but I am told morally by the TV execs what I can and can't see, which to me is a little high and mighty. I just think the problems lies in adults feeling uncomfortable about discussing sex with their children, but if you are open and honest with your children about the facts of life, then they are well rounded individuals, who realise the richness of living and that sex is a part of it. I also have absolutely no problem with prostitution, because at least the working girls are honest and have an honesty about them you won't find regularly. Spiritchaser Playboy
  18. "It's not fair to Flair!!!" Pure Heenan Genius also when he said to Tatanka "Hey, How Are Yea, Hey How Are Yea" as how all Native Americans greet one another. Spiritchaser Bobby Dazzler :thumbsup
  19. Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Interestng quandry! WWWF/WWF/WWE same company or not? Well WWWF was run by Vince's pop and WWF by Vince and WWE by The McMahon Clan and HHH so, same company? Don't know. Is a Snickers still a Marathon or is TNA still NWA/WCW names change as do members of staff and the board, what makes a company the same company for years, what makes Disney, Disney, when Roy Disney sold his shares? I think WWE is an amalgam of all the big wrestling companies left at the end of the last century and that is what is evolving, not WWF as we knew it. History is written by those who win the wars, not by those who lost. There is much unsaid and much lost. So WWWF is not the same as WWF and WWE is not the same as WWF, even though today in the Daily Mirror the write up about Everton's game yesterday and Ferguson's subsequent sending off refers to his elbow as "should be retained within the ranks of WWF", so to the "outside" world it is still WWF. Strange huh! Spiritchaser Federation of Foresight
  20. Nope The Rowdy One said it first Clint was Go ahead Punk Make My Day!... 2005 will be 2005 and Franchise....stop! Flitting between yesterday, today and tomorrow. Top Ten Lists won't work in a non-kayfabe atmosphere, wrestling was produced and put across as a "real" sport in those days, these days it is all about entertainment, whether you or anyone else finds it entertaining is another matter, though, I did mark out when Ron became NWA/WCW Champ and I liked his Doom days too. I mean Halloween Havoc "Chamber of Horrors" was quite frankly, the funniest PPV I saw in the kayfabe era. That was in the Cactus Jack, Steiner Bros etc... era and whilst they may have been excellent in their day, they where never used correctly in WCW, so it made bad business, the same however can be said for Leon White in WWE, but again who except Sting/Simmons and Foley in WCW at that time wanted any part of him, only when he came to WWE did he really get tested regularly. His Japanese matches were also excellent but, who really tested him there? Ok. 2005 1. Taker to retire undefeated at Manias 2. Kane to gain the big one and take on Batista/HHH/Snitsky and all the other big guys. 3. JBL to continue his reign until Mania 4. Kurt Angle to retire 5. Shelton Benjamin to continue flying 6. HBK to become a leader of another stable. 7. Stephanie McMahon and Shane to return. 8. ECW and Paul Heyman to re-emerge pheonix-like. 9. Daniel Puder to take on Taker 10. Chris Jericho to win the World belt again. Just Guessing Spiritchaser Circa 1984
  21. I thought you'd gone crazy then JM until Iread what a thousand monkeys or one Franchise had written sorry Franchise, for what, I'm not sure anymore! Spiritchaser Unreal Subreality
  22. I agree with Vince make the punk sweat, he walked out and left the company after almost every superstar put him over, including Undertaker. So he has no "god given right" to just waltz back in. The WWE has survived without him and survived before him, he is no big deal. Athletic, yes, strong, yes but good work ethic, gotta say no on that one. Lesnar in my view is a clown, who cried for more and when he got it didn't want it. Let him go Vince, he will do nothing for you. Spiritchaser Lesnar Loather
  23. Beltmark What about Taker? Juiced or not, I'd be surprised at 43 years old, it can't be good for the heart eh!!! Spiritchaser Roid Rage
