    Problems at TNA?

It's either a GFW invasion angle or TNA is in major organ failure. However if Kong hasn't totally burnt her bridges she'd be perfect to really plow through the Diva's division and leave it ready for the NXT crop to come in and take over.

    Problems at TNA?

Roode is good, his real trouble is that he's got no real charisma and certainly nothing like a gimmick. He'd essentially be a better Curtis Axel or Heath Slater both of whom I find more "fun" than Roode. IF they could package him back to Team Canada or something then he's probably good enough for Smackdown perhaps but he's got nothing that you could really market. That's often the problem with the guys coming from TNA, they've been given no real gimmicks to run with since Russo hates gimmicks so there's nothing for people to really latch onto. Is someone like Roode or Storm worse than Bray Wyatt? Comparatively no but Bray Wyatt is simple to "get" as a character.

    Problems at TNA?

I'd read a few weeks ago that the push for signing guys like Joe was two fold, the first was to give some credibility to NXT and the second was to give the roster more depth for touring so that you don't have to send every guy out on every tour and work them into the ground. The latter makes most sense, their in the middle of a massive law suit based a lot on injuries sustained for repeated injuries caused by the hectic schedule. The only way to combat that is either less touring or more wrestlers so people get recuperation time. Vince isn't about to lose money by not being places even if that means paying guys they weren't interested in before to be "there" if needed. Hmm, makes the possibility that it's all kayfabe a bit more plausible. I can;t see someone ducking out of TNA going to GFW right off the bat if it wasn't to give GFW more guys to team with that are known to the TNA audience. Given that ROH seems to be working ok with the E these days I'd have thought guys would be jumping to them in the hope that as long as they don;t sign long term merch deal then an NXT call could be coming their way if they can generate some heat.

    Problems at TNA?

Maybe but only as enhancement. Unless they decide they need a good ol' southern boys tag team or something I don't see where he's needed. Magnus I think would have some chance but probably the Mickie James thing won't help him out there. Barret and Magnus as a team works for me and would be a simple fit in for one of the missing teams in the division. EDIT: Saw Aries might go. He's someone I think could work on WWE TV. He's got an interesting look, is good on the mic and a good worker. If WWE really are filling out the ranks to make it easier to tour and swap people in and out to give them proper rest etc he's a guy I'd like to have around as a versatile player.

Just read the spoilers, what a clusterfuck. Is no one actually planning booking out further than a show ahead?

You shouldn't, they are in the position they are in solely off their own choices.

    Problems at TNA?

They didn't appear on Slammiversary though, so they didn't come back for the anniversary at all. Plus TNA haven't done this every year or anything, this is Slammiversary 11..... eleven..... you know ten years plus one.... not a significant Slammiversary (other than possibly being the last one) that would warrant getting past stars back on the impact before the PPV. If you can't spot a ploy to try and keep the ratings going up then there's little hope for ya.

    Problems at TNA?

I tend to agree that general TNA news that doesn't discuss how badly the promotion is doing probably needs to be in it's own thread, it's only fair. Most of the news in here has been about cuts or DA dropping the show etc. However getting back to Jay's point that this show was an anniversary show, what anniversary? Certainly not the first show, that's Slammiversary. That would be 10 years since we got our first TV deal... You know that really important anniversary every company celebrates...

He really isn't trolling, he genuinely can't believe anything TNA do is not a good thing.

[spoiler=Impact spoilers]TNA also brought back a load of old talent for the latest taping including Matt Morgan, Vader, Velvet Sky and Hernandez. Feels like a last throw of the dice to me.

Anyone else find it a little fun that at the same time TNA is dying Time Warner are being purchased by another company? It all runs in cycles...

    Problems at TNA?

The only really sad thing here is that there were some good talent in TNA that basically fucked themselves over by being loyal to the company and in the end a woman who wanted nothing more than to have a plaything on TV and will walk away from this without any real penalty has nailed them royally. I can only hope that Crazzy Steve gets a job being a jobber on NXT so I can continue to say "not Crazzy Steve!!" as this was really the last joy TNA brought me as it convulsed and spasmed it way to choking on it's own tongue.

    Problems at TNA?

TNA had an order of magnitude more finance that ECW, they had a massive company backing them and they still fucked it harder than Heyman did with ECW. It's difference between being hit by a car because you didn't pay attention and allowing yourself to starve to death surrounded by food. One happens an awful lot, the other takes a special kind of idiocy to achieve.

I think they've leapfrogged ECW in the league of terribly run companies now.

Meltzer has already said if they think they can sue then why haven't they? He notes Billy Corgan is taking the same line Vince Russo took when a different journalist printed an unfavorable story only for it to turn out Russo had sent the info to the journalist by mistake himself.

Well that was inevitable. Sad really, it's like finding your super hot ex from college on FB and finding out she's now 25 stone with 7 kids.

    Problems at TNA?

And the point is that regardless how tiny the audience DA has they expected more from TNA. It's difference between saying that it's ok for Man Utd to come fourth and get champions league football and what they want to do which is win the league. There's only so long you can accept acceptable when you wanted exceptional. At the end of the day it's only TNA's fault for failing to build on the very few bits of success they did manage to make and build a sustainable audience.
