  1. The interesting bit is that she didn't pay so much attention to the critics that kept referring to the fact that she wasn't self-made, somehow acknowledging that yes, she could have gotten some help along the way. At the end of the day, what counts is how we make use of the opportunities that come our way.
  2. I also agree that Mayweather puts money first and much as this isn’t a bad thing, it gets that thrill out of the sport. At this point, we can’t rule out this fight happening. I am also looking forward to Anthony Joshua fighting Deontay Wilder, sometime soon.
  3. Forbes claim that she was ‘self-made’ seemed over-ambitious but she deserves credit for making use of the opportunities that came her way. Many people get the same privileges but fail to make full use of them.
  4. I also agree that the use of VAR is long overdue. Neil Warnock (Cardiff City manager) in his post-match interview, felt that the referee had erroneously let an invalid goal stand. There was a lot of uproar after Chelaea’s first goal was (apparently) scored from an offside position.

    Meditation

Though I haven't (personally) meditated before, I believe that it can be really effective when done in the right way. I remember wandering deep into a nearby forest just to get lost in the silence and tranquility of nature. I guess that meditation relies a lot on the nature of your surrounding.
  6. I never leave reviews for any products I buy because I am so careful about what I share considering that online privacy is becoming such an elusive thing in this day and age. Interestingly, I always head to the reviews section before making a purchasing decision.
  7. It has been a while since I watched a horror movie but who didn't get scared after watching Wrong Turn sequel? The scariest for me was Saw.
  8. This makes the two of us. Creating a reading culture requires a lot of sacrifice and discipline plus it also depends on the nature of work. I used to love watching movies back in the day but now I find myself exploring nature most of the time.
  9. I agree with you that the trailer just served to make us eager to watch the final season. I can’t wait to see how everything else unfolds.
  10. Well, I also love some good lyrics coupled with a good tune as that is what really defines music. On the flipside, I also love instrumentals so classical and jazz music appeal to me much more than EDM does. Doesn't modern music now tend to focus more on the tune rather than the lyrics? End of a musical era perhaps?
  11. Thanks so much for that explanation @Zack T. I have always assumed that laptops are far more superior than desktops, but there seem to be a few restrictions that have to do with laptops. Could this explain why most gamers prefer desktops?
  12. The interesting thing is that there are a lot of theories out there and my fear is that getting to read stuff every so often could spoil the fun, in the long run. What else will capture the world's imagination like GoT has over the years?
  13. Most GoT fans have been waiting (in anticipation) for the final season and it is understandable that their patience was slowly running out. Though April 14th is not so far away, I have avoided watching the trailer, just in case it gives away a few hints. Has the wait been too long for you?
  14. Out of curiosity, I searched for this and found it on YouTube. Hopefully, I will get to watch it before the weekend sets in. Lately, I am starting to focus more on real life stories and account of events, rather than movies. @Boomer I have heard good reviews of Quincy as well.
  15. I love how Dwayne Johnson made a successful switch from WWE and I have a feeling that he will continue gracing our screens for a while. My favorite actresses are Angelina Jolie and Julia Roberts.
  16. The Escape from Alcatraz Prison gives the story of three bank robbers who made what is regarded as the 'greatest prison break' in history. That we still continue to talk about an event that happened more than five decades ago illustrates how serious this escape was. Which other interesting documentaries would you recommend?
  17. I hadn't paid attention to the reviews but now I am even eager to watch it too. I have always loved epic movies and it seems that this isn't going to disappoint too.
  18. I have never loved series that are based on comedy, apart from Two and A Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. It makes more sense to have a movie based on comedy instead.
  19. Growing up, I used to love playing soccer, basketball, table tennis and hockey. I guess I would have been a sportsperson, had I pursued this cause to the very end, if not a musician with a mastery of the guitar. How interesting that at times we choose a completely different path!
  20. I have used the blanket rule and direct approach before and much as it may have seemed fussy at the beginning, everyone else got a hint. From then on, family gatherings stopped being places to discuss politics, politicians and so on. It is much easier to deal with close friends and family than outright strangers.
  21. That is very true and approaching life with such determination will help us not to be caught by surprise. Celebrities also encounter their own set of struggles despite often cutting a 'near perfect' public image.
  22. I have loved Dwayne Johnson's determination both as a WWE star and actor and out of all he has ever said, my best quote is,"All successes begin with self-discipline. It starts with you." In a nutshell, being self disciplined and exercising self control will almost guarantee triumph.
  23. Well, the producer/director of the show could as well decide to shift the plot completely but all the same, I think it makes all GoT fans all the more pensive. Has anyone ever read the novels?
  24. I have never seen a mixed gender fight before and I do not see this happening anytime soon. I guess this kind of situation wouldn't provide a level playing field.
  25. Come to think of it, if we believed everything the critics said, would it make sense to watch anything out here? There will always be flaws and imperfections but that should always be the decision to be made by the viewer. It would be unfair for a viewer to take these critics so seriously, then end up not watching a movie in question.
