  1. @Revenger, you have to pick A or B you goof. I have to agree with you about the deep sea diving. I'd be afraid of running out of air. If I could use a time machine just once I'd visit our planet 100 years into the future. I'm anxious to check on the aftermath of global warmer, terrorism, and political unrest. Which mutant's abilities would you most like to have from the X-Men franchise, Mystique's or Wolverine's (gender doesn't matter)?
  2. I would never have gotten away with such a cheeky response! I like the name Leo and think it suits. Leos are male lions and they usually have those big golden manes. It's also easy to call out LLLL-EEEE-OOOO when you're trying to get his attention. I hope the pup is settling in.
  3. I usually go for a fizzy drink like Coca-Cola because tap water is just dull and I'm not really in need of an electrolyte boost.

    Health woes

It can't be easy to go through so many changes, mate. Can you have wine? It's supposed to be healthier than beer. I hope you feel better soon. If you stick with a healthy diet, maybe you can turn it around.
  5. I haven't viewed any trailers where the scenes never appeared in the film, but I've seen several that were grossly misrepresented. If the director and producer knew that scene would draw a crowd, why didn't they just shoot it that way to begin with? It does my head in when the movie trailer is more compelling than the film.
  6. I'm surprised that Halo Infinite won't have a battle royale mode, which is so popular today. I bet this decision will hurt sales, because I don't see the demand for that style falling away. How disappointing!
  7. I'd prefer a human partner, so I could discuss case ideas. I typically reason things out verbally and it works best with a human who responds. Which school would you rather attend, the one in Riverdale or the one in Mean Girls?
  8. Well, I guess if any creature can pull that name off it's a cat. I can just see the patronizing glare from said beast. "If you don't understand the name, it's because you're clearly of inferior intellect, now get my Temptations human." @The Wild Things what about Jax, Bronze, or Harry? I like the middle name you came up with. No matter what I name my pets I usually call them by a nickname. Do you?
  9. I contemplate the oddest things when I'm absolutely knackered, but can't fall asleep. Like whose job would I rather have, Carrie's from Sex and the City (writer) or Grace's from Will and Grace (interior designer)? Or, would I rather have the wardrobe of Kitty from Dietland (feminine, classy) or the wardrobe of Olivia Pope from Scandal (professional, sleek)? Could be a decent game. So, I'll ask an A or B question and whoever answers (and please someone answer) will ask the next question and so on. Any format works so long as there are two choices. Explain your choice if you wish to add more. It could be a good way of getting to know one another. Which villainess would you most like to have on your side, Cersei Baratheon from Game of Thrones, or Villainelle from Killing Eve?
  10. I can't handle the nickel-and-diming of in-game spending. Sadly, it often feels that the person with the biggest wallet wins because they can afford the best weapons, healing power, and other helpful extras.
  11. Sometimes it feels exploitative. Actually, more often then not the shows feel exploitative. A&E's Intervention depicts some seedy parts to drug addiction that are just meant to entice the audience. It bugs me when the addicts children are discussed or worse, shown. A&E's Hoarders comes off as poking fun at the people.
  12. That would have to be Benefits Street. I don't think the programme came on across the pond, but it was poverty porn at it's finest - or maybe it's worst. Channel 4 documentaries usually turn out in poor taste.
  13. At first it felt like the visuals were too similar to Game of Thrones, but I got over it Zoe Wanamaker is brilliant in her role as Queen Antedia. She's the ultimate "mother bear" with a thirst for revenge.
  14. I have two favourites and that's Chris Rock and Robin Williams. Even though both blokes are multitalented, they're still very relatable. It's a shame that Robin Williams battled depression.

    Myers-Briggs

I'm an ESTJ. I'm not a fan of silence and I get bored without people to "play" with. My best mate is a strong introvert which took some getting used to. We balance each other out I suppose. So do you all think the test labeled your personality correctly?
  16. I was so terribly upset when Hodor died. Brit's aren't much for crying in public, yet I bawled in a crowded room. Just thinking about it makes me teary. I've read that the actor who played Hodor and the actor who played Bran are good friends in real life. I like to think that it allowed Hodor to cheat death just a little.
  17. With Mrs. Hyacinth Bucket (Bouquet) and her pitiful husband Richard. I used to watch it every Saturday night. "What To Wear When Yachting" during season 3 was one of the best episodes. Just so fancy! Have you seen the prequel, Young Hyacinth? I think it was a one-off but I bet it was good.
  18. Which T.V. couples do you love or loathe together? I loathe Nikko and Eve from Killing Eve. The bloke is clearly jealous that he doesn't have all her attention and that she's doing well in her career. They seem ill-suited. On the other hand, I love watching the relationship between Cookie and Luscious Lyon on Empire. They shore each other up.
  19. DandyMandy, do you have an older telly you can use? Try it on a telly that is curved rather than a flat screen. I'm not a technical expert by any means, but I think it has to do with the tubes on the inside. The newer models won't register hits.
  20. I'm gutted by all the shootings that have gone on lately, but I'm with @Zack T on this one. Violence has always been a part of history and I don't think video games are to blame any more than our total lack of respect for animals and their habitat. Shouldn't both of those desensitize youth to killing? Why single out games? Every generation complains about the new generation's pop culture. It used to be rap videos that took the blame. Then graphic movies became the new favourite for explaining violent behaviour. Now, I guess we've moved on to making video games the scapegoat.

    Gun Control

I agree with you that criminals can find any weapon or make any weapon they choose to, but I think having to source things that way makes it more difficult for them and any obstacle helps. I don't think most criminals are going to make that effort, have access to that specialized knowledge, or even have the funds necessary to obtain those black market goods - especially not school aged kids who are usually the perpetrators of school shootings. I can see your point of view though!

    Gun Control

I wholeheartedly support more gun control. I strongly believe that automatic riffles should only be available for military purposes. I also think there should be a longer waiting period and more extensive background checks before someone is allowed to purchase a gun but I don't feel as strongly about it. I understand that others disagree and respect those opinions. Where do you stand on the issue, Queenie?
  23. I'm always surprised by the number of reality shows that get renewed, but I suppose they're cheap to make which is a boon to their network. I'm still waiting to see what happens with Brooklyn Nine-Nine and am hoping for another season.
