  1. Felt there was nowhere better to put this... is there anyone else out there who feels mildly uncomfortable when it comes to an Abyss spot and he uses glass instead of tacks ? I mean... in theory they'll have to step it up again soon enough, what to ? Used needles... just for a silly pop and a "This is awesome" chant... uch.
  2. Ahh women's wrestling in TNA... I can hear the crowds now - "T&A, T&A, T&A".....
  3. You know what's debatably even worse than that ? Damn Shelton Benjamin and his T-Bone. When he initially started using it I marked like a bizzatch cause I enjoy a good T-Bone... however as time went on he got lazier and lazier, slowly turning it into a sort of hiptoss almost... there was nothing spectacular about it. I hope other people know what I'm on about and I don't seem mental...
  4. People who are saying "Har Har Har - 3 Angle matches... what's wrong with that, Angle's SO great".... please remember, Angle is now nothing but ankle lock, ankle lock, ankle lock... ankle lock, ankle lock, ankle lock and, what's that in the distance, an ankle lock. Then an Angle Slam thrown in during the first match as a swerve. He isn't the man he once was people, I'm sorry to say.
  5. I have recently come across an incredible game... The Lost Vikings, oooh it makes me dance. Came from the SNES and, just ooooh yummy. Loving it. Abe's Odyssey (PS1). Discworld games (PC) - the original was the FIRST EVER computer game I ever played. Still to this day I enjoy nothing more than a good point and click. Tombi (PS1) Jazz Jackrabbit (PC) - there was a time when me n my bro would get floppy disc games for like £2... one of these dirt cheap games was Jazz Jackrabbit and it changed my young life forever !
  6. That was a pretty good PPV. Didn't watch the cage match, was on PC but my brother enjoyed it and the last spot was good (caught it on replay). The Tag Turmoil I personally enjoyed. Really liked Shelton's jump onto the top rope from the apron, was like "woooow". My brother was marking like a crazy biatch from Kentucky when Cade & Murdoch got through to the final two teams. I like Cryme Tyme, shoot me. Was so happy to see Super Crazy in there, the man isn't used enough - I'm a huge fan. For a random, one off pairing it was brilliant. The woman's match was a bit rubbish, I laughed at the run in because it was flimsy. I was half-expecting Victoria to smack Melina about straight after the match but no such luck. The tag match was o'right. Kept me watching but nothing spectacular. I was gutting myself at Orton's chair shot screw up - sorry but it was brilliant. Real shame about Triple H, hope he gets well soon as possible. The Kenny/Flair match was just about watchable. I'm not particularly jumping on the Dykstra band wagon quite yet. The Carlito/Masters watch was all right, not as good as their Backlash attempt. Possibly was down to bad placing in the card. Shame Masters won, I was gutted. The Umaga/Cena match... as this was starting I thought, "I'm tired, think I'm gonna go off to bed." But because I'm a purist and believe in sticking to the very end I decided to wrap up warm on the couch and watch the title match. Thank goodness I did, it was just brilliant. One of the few matches I've REALLY enjoyed in months. Armando constantly directing Umaga really put over the gimmick, it really made you realise Umage was a puppet and couldn't function without the strings being pulled. The offense was very strong and Cena was just amazing. His selling and lack of FU'ing was lovely. When he fell on his face I cringed, it was just nasty. The finish was believable, an absolutely desperate Cena just barely getting a three count. This match alone made the rest of the event almost seem like it wasn't a waste of time.
  7. Right... seemingly a bit random but what is the phrase Tracy Smothers uses when threatening audiences and such-like... it's something like "ultra-mega-homocide"... what is it exactly please ? Cheers to one and all
  8. Your joking... both Paul London and Brian Kendrick are fantastic wrestlers. Two of the best cruserweights in the USA. Sonjay Dutt comes no where near to either of them. Mentioning Matt Striker and claiming most people "don't know who he is" - well do you not have any idea of either of the forementioned's previous work in RoH and other indies.
  9. Yea, the glamour of Jobbers-ville really is too damn much to give up. I'm sure Matt will be really upset at the thought of actually winning a match with any meaning behind it - hell, he might even end up with a title. What kind of wrestler wants that ? ? Anywho, Matt will jump at the chance to team with Jeff since it was all his fault they got over. People loved seeing Jeff falling from tall things - Matt was the nobody of the team, no charisma, no character and no stand-out characteristics. In my opinion of course...
  10. I've gotta say Spirit Squad. Please read on before shooting me for it but, seriously, the lead heels of Raw (the major brand, where the real players are, what the WWE is all about) are... CHEERLEADERS. No matter how you try dress it up to non-wrestling fans they are still going to see five guys dancing around pretending to be cheerleaders. Even as a mid-card faction or something but there's something increasingly cringeworthy by the fact they are being pushed as the top heels of the WWE at the moment... (I'm jumping to the ideology that Raw > Smackdown)
  11. His job to Hardy was punishment, wasn't it, for bad behaviour ? The thing about his wins over Batista is: 1) The HUGE blow off that was supposed to be Batista/Henry never happened... that means MANY fans were disappointed and leaves Smackdown without a serious selling point. The WWE are desperately trying to create a storyline quickly which will have a huge blow-off. Ie. Batista kicking seven shades of snot out of Kennedy and finally pulling out the win. 2) Kennedy hasn't pinned or made Batista submit - they have been heel victories, therefore only adding fuel to the fued. Kennedy is taking a lot of beatings from Batista in the matches (a continuation of his punishment) hence the victories will mean nothing after the PPV Batista landslide victory. The WWE are being smart, trying to make something out of a awful situation.
  12. It's days like this where I really wish that an emoticon of a person banging his head off a wall existed... On subject - the women's division is very meh with me. Would much prefer to see the cruserweight or tag division being used correctly above the womens. Just my personal opinion.
  13. You know Carlito ? ? BAH GAWD man, son, friend, friend, Kennedy, friend. My friend~~~~!!!
  14. Police Chief: As a recruit, you'll be faced with some difficult issues. What would you do if you had to arrest your mother? New Recruit: Call for backup!
  15. At the moment games I'm looking into purchasing are the new Smackdown (it's a while off but always there), the new Hitman game (oooh looks so sweet) and the new Broken Sword game (going back to it's point and click heritage, sort of - I'm not complaining). I'm not a huge gamer but I usually get a shot of whatever my brother lays his hands on.
  16. David Bowie at the moment... and I'm not ashamed of it... well not completely ! !
  17. I've discovered a band, Gogol Bordello and so have downloaded a number of their songs... they have such a great sound - gypsy/ french/ funk all with a punk spine... it's brilliant stuff ! !
  18. I bow to you and beg forgiveness.... *cough EMO cough*.... sorry, still some left over.... At the moment listening to QOTSA both SFTD and L2P ! !
  19. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM *cough, splutter* MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMO ! ! ! ! ! ! ! But we love you anyway....
  20. I've recently started getting into Arcade Fire... saw a live concert on channel 4 about a month ago at something like 3 in the morning and didn't know who it was. MTV2 then played it as well, by coincidence, about a week back so I learnt name of the band and a couple of good songs to download. Need to go get their album, unfortunately I'm skint ! !
  21. Can't agree more... I'm such a sap for the good ol' point and click games... the Broken Sword series, Monkey Island, and Discworld series. I loved them all (Noir was a bit dodgy but still reeked Pratchett goodness) ! All are underrated by todays gamers who are all looking for the big fancy affects and huge combos ! These games make ye' use your brain, good times... good times ! !
  22. Kennedy... injured... two words that should never be in the same setence. Unless it's "Kennedy permanently injures Cena". To the point at hand though, oh dear... terrible terrible shock ! I'm trembling slightly, at least we still have Lashley........................................................................................................... ......................... Lashley..... it's just not the same.......
  23. A thing about Best that annoys me; he was a 'professional' alcoholic longer than he was a footballer ! Think about that for what it's worth, while Eddie continued wrestling during and after his (severe) drug abuse. I don't care about Best and think it's a bit pathetic it being front page news but many people would think I'm sad about being gutted over Eddie's death. They'd claim something stupid like "well it's all fake anyway..." So meh, screw them and they can say screw me !
  24. Oh yeah, and HBK is so well known for being a company man; never one to moan :)
