  1. So you get to even Evan Bourne, and not Kofi? He'll without a doubt be in the match. The IC and US champ defending at 'Mania seems to never occur, so count Shelton and Punk in. Quite possibly Regal as well, more than likely R-Truth and MVP. Who wins? I'd hope for a Christian win. He's the only person currently not in the "main event" that would instantly fit right in, but I think we're in for a Punk-esque surprise this year. Hopefully I'll be thunderclapping the night away. I do shudder at the thought of Kozlov
  2. An AJ Styles promo in 2003 before his first NWA title shot at Jarret. There was just such genius build up for this match (like all big NWA title matches in that period). AJ, even though TNA hadn't been around for a year, was already Mr. TNA. Multiple time X division champion, tag champion, and was on a hell of a roll as a tweener against heavyweights. There wasn't much confusion as to where every expected his loyalty lied. Through his increasingly heelish actions over the past weeks with his epic "zip it! tirade, it was almost a given he had become Russo's final chess piece, the ace of SEX. Earlier in the night, he gives a promo in a video that very much seems like a declaration of his heelness, and as a pre-victory speech. He tells the story of the first X-division title decider. When he gets to the end, he says; "As Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat raised my arm in the air, he looked at me and said, 'Hey kid, you keep on like this and you could be something special some day'. I looked back at him and said, "Zip it, Ricky. I'm more than something special. I'm simply...phenomenal." Fantastic stuff. Southern d*ck heel AJ Styles = ratings anywhere. He's so natural on the mic when he can just kick it Gainsville, GA style.
  3. I'd hate to see him alone as he isn't exactly an interesting personality. He'd come in more than likely with a generic inhouse theme or maybe even as bad as "Rule Brittania". He'd probably be brought in as a generic face, with the general theme being "Here's the British Bulldog's Son, and here's Jim Neidhart's daughter...CHEER FOR THEM" despite the fact it seems most people in the stands for a WWE show don't know who either of their parents are. WWE can be so terrible at saddling new guys with terrible storylines that have no chance of them getting over, with one so ridiculously ready made for a guy they really want to give a shot to, they just have to do it.
  4. oh no, I demand Harry Smith on my television screen. Cody Rhodes was terribly generic and hard to watch DiBiase carrying him. He went from that to actually sounding damn good ripping into his brother a few weeks. Harry must become another of Randy's act-a-like minions. One of the Hart kids has to amount to something.
  5. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of KandyKane and The Caretaker as the Brother's of Construction: Building friendships across the land.
  6. Watch what got them on TV in the first place. They were a wonderful alternative for a good couple of years.
  7. I so strongly believe that the only reason a HBK/JBL match will would happen is if Shawn refuses to job at what will probably be his last home-state Mania.
  8. You have allllllllllllll the right in the world to complain if Undertaker wins his final match. Seeing as how this WrestleMania isn't it, I don't see the issue here.
  9. And Flair didn't put over HBK. If Flair would've won it would've been a complete inverse.. That entire match is a Ric Flair underdog story. Ric didn't put anyone over other than himself with that match, and in fact, that entire storyline.
  10. That's because, and I'm now sure of this, you work yourself into a :mad face before the opening credits even air. Anyone who says they didn't MTFO then think "holy sh*t he's actually going to lose it" when Orton countered the chokeslam into the RKO is an outright liar.
  11. Seeing as how the past two years its been "daaaamnn will Taker really keep his streak alive?" I'm sure it's going to be entertaining again.
  12. PLAX~! shot our hopes out the sky. But, the biggest stars on the team and our GM say they want him back, so he'll be back, and we'll be back in the supahbowl. Couldn't really expect us to win without our best offensive and defensive players.
  13. No way jose (Drake). There's not a man on this earth who'd take Randy Moss first if he had choice of any WR in the league. Boss Fitz and Andre Johnson are side-by-side only the Teammate Assassin Steve Smith as the best WR's in the league now. Randy is still extremely f*cking dangerous and will drop a deuce on your defense, but he's more a system beneficiary than downright unguardable freak now. I still say he's #4, but he's GOAT no more.
  14. woah son. Can't call Jay-Z overrated if you haven't heard Reasonable Doubt. Not to mention, any best rapper ever Top 10 list that doesn't have Hov in it just struggles to be credible. He's been every bit if as lyrical as Nas as well as consistently being a fixture in mainstream. Kinda funny you say that. I love Dr. Dre, but the fact that he's released rap albums, yet writes none of his own material is a negative. Ice Cube, Ren, The DOC, Eminem, and Jay-Z should get as much credit for The Chronic and 2001 as he has as they penned almost every word that came out of his mouth. As a prodoucer he's priceless though. As for me overrated: John Lennon: Seeing as how I'm of the firm belief that McCartney and Harrison > John, seeing the unequalled praise for ole Lennon isn't awesome. The man is class, yes, but to me, he's further proof that dieing in your prime = ratings. Nirvana: Really? Tupac: See Nirvana and Lennon I guess. Has an entire coast of relentless diehards it seems. What irks me most is that I couldn't place him in my top 10 based off lyricism alone. And before any jumps on the "the massage man, the content!", I can't stand him for the same reason Nas annoys me. Listening to a Tupac is listening to a confused hypocrite...a confused hypocrite who damn near single handedly caused the death of himself and Biggie. Underrated: The Bee Gees: Disco isn't dead, because disco didn't really exist. Disco is just pop music from that time, which makes The Bee Gee's complete and utter pop music icons. Not even just for the fact that they've created a few songs which define their era...they also wrote songs for other artists. Legends. Duran Duran: Some people would like to foolishly blast Duran Duran for being fake, manufactured; a predecessor of the 90's boy band craze. That's all fine and well except for one thing...they wrote their own songs. Instead of being created in the image of what was hot, what was hot was created in the image of them. Some people struggle an entire lifetime, trying their hardest, giving a super concerned effort to do what's hip to try and score some praise. Duran Duran did it relentlessly. They weren't trying to fit into the scene, they were the scene. Plus, they made a dance song about a Bond track 15 years before Madonna tried and did it so much better. I don't think anyone could seriously stand in front of you and say Redman is a potential GOAT. He's had a plethora of hot 16's and made a really good album with Meth, but so many people from LL Cool J, KRS-1, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Jay-Z, and Big Pun would instantly come before him. You'd have to be downright amazing to talk someone into believing Red is greater than most of the Wu-Tang Clan ---------------- Now playing: Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E. via FoxyTunes
  15. This movie could spurn some changes. Can't be bothered to find the articles again, but the director has stated he feels/wants wrestlers to belong to the SAG, and that Vince McMahon didn't like the movie and is moving to ban advertisements for it from appearing during Smackdown
  16. I don't find anything interesting about her at all. She's a really generic looking white girl that doesn't work in nearly as appealing a way as any of the RAW divas. Of course, swaggerjacking my favorite wrestler's finishing move didn't earn her any bonus points with me. AND, I know it's her real name, but "McCool" sounds sooo stupid. They changed Doane's and Sydal's name to something awful for no reason, she actually needed some fixing. ---------------- Now playing: Clipse, Ab-Liva & Sandman - I Shot Ya via FoxyTunes
  17. Or, more importantly, for having the nerve to suck. ---------------- Now playing: Clipse, Ab-Liva & Sandman - I Shot Ya via FoxyTunes
  18. Yep. Supercar road trip (Clarkson in a GT, May in a F430, and Hammond in a Zonda) ---------------- Now playing: Clipse - So Fly (Now We've Had Her) via FoxyTunes
  19. You can find a good sum of those AJPW matches on youtube.
  20. Huh? You missed kina completely. It's based in the Northeast (with Chicago being its biggest market outside of New York and Chicago) that's run shows in Canada, the West Coast, the south, England, and Japan. Only thing I disagree with. By any scale I could ever hope to measure that match by, it's perfect. Everything. The second the lights go out and Joe's music hits first the crowd makes sure this match won't be beyond the sh*t.

  22. Another Jericho title run thankfully comes to an end. I love the guy and everything, but how can anyone honestly say they enjoy him as world champ? It's all cool when he wins the title, but his heel runs become so bland. He looses half of his character he's serious all the time. Give me the HBK that feuded with Shawn in the buildup to WM19 as champ, and I'm done. Cena and Edge holding the belts. Seems "right". Word on some streets: look out for another Cena title redesign tomorrow night
  23. Christian wasn't released, his contract ran up and he didn't re-sign. Hence why it was a big deal at the time.
  24. Throughout the night, I was predicting an F5 followed by a failed SSP with Randy capitilizing and winning via ankle lock. When Brock jumped on top of the fence afterwards I feared for the worst
