  1. Jordan Pickford was pretty awful and made some big errors as goalkeeper. I'm surprised he's lasted as long as he has. It didn't seem to hurt overall, though.
  2. Sorry it's taken me so long to see this. Does Chris Lowe sing? I have no idea if he can or can't. He does perform spoken word vocals and those meet the OP's criteria in my opinion.
  3. Ben Folds Five. Ben Folds writes most of their music, but there have been some group collaborations and all three obtained songwriting credit for those. All three guys sing. Their egos get too big.
  4. Have you discovered any great bands or music tracks through gaming? Some games have brilliant soundtracks. Red Dead Redemption led me to the song, Far Away. The Borderlands led me to The Heavy, which is a fantastic rock band. Tony Hawk's games always had great soundtracks back in the day. I found Primus and The Dead Kennedys through one of those games.
  5. I'm no writer, but maybe you'd find it easier to dictate your novel into a recorder and pay someone else to do the typing. Some people find that faster. Or you could get voice recognition software that essentially performs the same task.
  6. Do you count duos in the mix? If so, I think The Pet Shop Boys qualify. Wait, does it have to be the lead vocals or do backing vocals also count? If backing vocals count too, then The Who qualifies. I would add Guns N' Roses, but while I know that Slash can sing, he doesn't like to, and I don't recall him singing on an album.
  7. I haven't been watching WWE much for close to a year now, so I'm out of the loop. Did Lesnar sign a new contract with the WWE? Maybe the possibility of his return to the UFC is being floated around as a tool to secure a more favorable contract during negotiations. I know that Lesnar has done something like that in the past. But yeah, I'd like to see those two face each other in the octagon.
  8. I've watched so much telly that I'm running out of good programmes to binge. I've worked my way through Stranger Things, and if you haven't seen it, you should check it out, especially if you're into sci-fi/mystery type stuff. Now I'm working my way through Alone, which is a survival series that's also quite good.
  9. Lori Loughlin, star of Fuller House and Hallmark sweetheart, who bribed college officials to get her two children into college. She's still fighting her case, despite mounds of evidence that she's guilty. Same with her daughters. The photos showing each girl pretending to row have surfaced. Her two daughters knew what they were doing and were complicit in the scam, but you'd think Lori would plead guilty and serve her time in order to spare her daughters.
  10. I guess I'm just concerned about AEW signing too many wrestlers to their roster. It could end up like the WWE, too much talent for a few spots of action. I still think he's hilarious. He's fun to watch (and hate). MJF is one of AEW's most over wrestlers right now.
  11. What do you make of the rumours that EC3 is heading to AEW since WWE released him? I think the bloke was one of WWE's most underrated wrestlers on its roster, but I don't see how he'll fit with AEW either. He's too similar to Moxley, Jericho, Page, and Omega.
  12. Fury has won some impressive titles, just needs to medal at the Olympics, which is up in the air thanks to the coronavirus. Muhammad Ali was nominated for two Grammys, but I don't think he won. Maybe Fury could tie that honor with some sort of nomination for his reality programme.
  13. I have no idea what Tiger King is about, but apparently it's popular because I hear the name mentioned often. What are you in the mood for? Have you seen both seasons of You? It has elements of crime, passion, mystery, and psychopathy. Did you like Longmire? I've thought about giving it a go.
  14. I'm an essential worker, so still working. I'm grateful for that to be honest. I have savings, but if this thing carries on as long as they say it will, I would eventually struggle if I only received 80% of my pay. Some employers are doing their best to give the remaining 20% to their workers, but I can't imagine that's sustainable long term. All I can think right now is that I'm glad I have no children because it would be devastating to have one of them get sick or to lose my income and have them suffer. I'm keeping an eye on my brothers as a couple of them followed our parent's old-fashioned Catholic tradition of having loads of kids. We're a family that pulls together and I'm hoping we'll be able to balance out financially.
  15. Don't bother with watching Patient Zero. The trailers made it look good, but the story meandered all over the place and it just wasn't entertaining.
  16. He's just seemed different to me the past couple of years. Like he shows up because it's his job, but he'd rather be doing something else. He's been at it a long time, so maybe he's just bored with it. Or maybe it's me and I'm seeing something that isn't there. I wonder if MJF regrets flipping the kid off during the meet and greet. The dad seemed to get it that MJF was working his gimmick, but still thought it was too much. MJF is young and I bet he didn't think it through before doing it. It's a bit ridiculous to hate on the bloke though, I remember going to events like that as a lad and the heels acted like heels. It's what you're there to see. That particular persona. @Knox Dustin and Cody tag team during the Fyter Fest PPV. That PPV wasn't the best, but the tag team match was fantastic. The PPV wasn't bad. It just wasn't a favourite of mine. You should watch their Dynamite weekly programme.
  17. Alex Marvez is an NFL writer and radio guy. I don't follow American football, but I don't think Marvez played sports professionally. Not that it matters, it's just that some commentators get their start after retiring from the sport. I was absolutely annoyed by the bloke originally, but looking back, I believe he was just nervous. He probably knew he wasn't doing well, which just made it worse. No harm in chatting about an old PPV. I enjoy reminiscing about them. And it's not like I'm not stuck at home social distancing. One cool thing that strikes me about Dustin Rhodes is how he's still passionate about wrestling and entertaining the fans. I think that's rare for someone who has been at it as long as Dustin has. For instance, I know Randy Orton is still a crowd favourite and has earned respect over the years due to his abilities, but he just seems to do as little as possible now. He shows up for the paycheck, not because it means something to him anymore. Dustin Rhodes wrestles because he loves it; Randy Orton wrestles because it loves him.
  18. Automate as much as you can with those fancy robot cleaners. Then hide them away before your mates come over so you don't look like a lazy pillock.
  19. Which is what though? I don't think he's fought in years, has he? He was pretty bad at it when he tried. I like the guy fine, but I haven't heard much about him besides these rumours that pop up every couple of years that he's going back to the WWE. I'm probably just out of the loop or he's with a promotion that I don't follow.
  20. Cody's speech about his dad was amazing (old news, I'm catching up). You could hear the unwavering pride in his voice and thankfulness for his own career. That was cool. It's surreal to watch these matches with no live audience. I wonder if the wrestlers find it harder to do their thing without that immediate feedback.
  21. I hear that and if I'm honest, I quit watching as much because I figured I could get the highlights from your awesome recaps. You're a bit better at it than the bloggers who only discuss their favourites or the main matches and your writing makes me feel like I'm there. I bet it takes loads of time though. I hadn't looked at it from your point of view and will try to participate more.
  22. @Zack T, are you still hanging out here? I miss your entertaining weekly recaps. @Kam, in a few years time I can see MJF sliding into the biggest slot. He has so much potential. I wonder if Omega really broke his hand? It would be awful to have that happen when he's been doing so well.
  23. Sorry for not replying sooner, ShadowEdge. I was at the pub till late and when I woke I had a massive headache. I wouldn't worry about being nice, blokes don't typically think like that. Just be straight with him. You found the ring. You don't want to get married. Not to him or anyone else and it won't change in the future. Let him know you still want to date/live together/or whatever your arrangement is. He'll probably be a bit shocked, but he'll get over it. You aren't rejecting him, you're rejecting marriage. Loads of couples don't get married. Seriously, it's like ripping a bandage off. Just be straight with him. That'll do it. And it's very concise. Well, no on second thought he might think you want to elope instead.
  24. There's no sense in beating round the bush. You should flat out tell the bloke before he goes down on one knee in a very public setting during your anniversary date. Talk about pressure. If you feel comfortable now, imagine how you'll feel then. Good luck!
  25. I celebrated the big ones like turning 21 then 30. I guess I'll celebrate turning 40. Or maybe I'll mourn it. Who knows? Most of my mates see their birthdays as just another day. I think some of the magic wears off as you get older.
