  1. I'm with you on the boxers, mate, except I'd set it up as a tournament and I would add Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Evander Holyfield to the mix. Those would be some thrilling matches. I think Muhammad Ali would come out on top.
  2. Frozen was the first time that a Disney princess saved herself. It was a big deal. I took my nieces to see it and the oldest girl was just so enchanted by that. That princess didn't need a man to save her and throughout the film, both women seemed more than capable of holding their own. It was also fantastic to see siblings who actually loved each other, so much so that each was willing to sacrifice herself to save the other. So many other Disney tales go the opposite way with family members willing to slaughter one another if there's something to be gained. I did have one issue with Frozen. Was anyone else troubled about Kristoff's situation as a young boy? I mean, he got separated from his work crew and just went missing. Where were his parents and why wasn't anyone searching for the boy? It was treated like such a non-issue. It was troubling really. My unpopular opinion is that the Bird Box was a dreadful and unimaginative film. Even Sandra Bullock couldn't save that nonsense.
  3. I've always heard that exercising in the morning revs your metabolism for the rest of the day. I bet it's a myth though. I run in the mornings because it helps me wake up and I won't go if I wait until later in the day.
  4. I can't say I've ever associated a particular game with the holiday, but as a kid, I loved getting new games for Christmas and would play them as soon as I could sneak away.
  5. Most people love to chat about themselves, so just ask them friendly questions. Ask about their hobbies, their favourite rugby team, how their child is doing, what film they want to see, anything like that should be safe.
  6. If you could throw any two people into the octagon, which two fighters would you pick and why? Anything goes, so don't worry about weight class or whether the athlete has retired. For me it would be Cris Cyborg and Valentina Shevchenko. It's true that they aren't in the same weight class, but part of Shevchenko's legend is that at the age of 12 she managed to KO her 22 year old opponent during one of her Muay Thai fights. Shevchenko is brave, strategic, and scrappy. Cris Cyborg has more body mass, but she's lacking technical finesse. A match between the two would be entertaining.
  7. I'm an ace procrastinator. It's a simple formula really. Anytime you're feeling productive, just turn on the telly instead. You'll be a profesh binge-watcher in no time.
  8. I think a second referendum is unavoidable at the moment. I'd like to see things resolved quickly because the whole thing is doing my head in. Of course, leaving the EU was never going to be a quick deal, so it's just wishful thinking on my part. @AmyRichmond did you see the recent report where over a million signatures were handed into Downing Street petitioning for a new referendum? I'm rubbish at predicting outcomes. I didn't think Brexit would happen in the first place, yet here we are.
  9. I'm watching New Amsterdam (medical drama), Maniac (satirical programme on Netflix), Westworld (AI theme park), Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Black Mirror (better than The Twilight Zone in my opinion), The Crown (drama about Queen Elizabeth II on Netflix), Vikings (I love the action and I'm glad it's back). I also watch various wrestling shows like RAW, Smackdown, TNA and more. Well, perhaps I'd better stop there or I'll wind up with a mile-long list. Oh, I'm impatiently waiting for Killing Eve to return. The first season is on BBC One if you care to binge it.
  10. I had proper meals growing up, but one of my favourite foods as an adult was those Golden Wonder Pot Rice meals. I haven't been able to find one in ages, so I'm assuming they no longer make them. I remember those. An old favourite of mine as well. Well, I've never heard of Dunkaroos, but I did a bit of googling and they sound like our Penguin Flipper Dippers. Are you Aussies hiding those too? The only space food sticks that I know of is something a shop used to sell that resembled Neapolitan ice cream. I think it was freeze-dried. Is that it?
  11. And she's not afraid to admit it either - BOOM! I still rock out to Mariah Carey's Merry Christmas album. You know, since we're being all honest here.
  12. Racquetball is loads of fun and easy to learn. I like shooting pool and throwing darts down at the pub if those count as sports. Maybe they fit in the "games" category better.
  13. The WWE pushed Roman Reigns as the top dog and the face of the WWE for quite some time. Hopefully he'll beat the disease and have a full recovery, but from recent interviews it appears that Reigns won't be back anytime soon. It's likely only a matter of time before the WWE creates another front-runner. Who do you think it will be?
  14. Plain old "Gareth" was already taken. Now I need to find a decent avatar to match the "greatness". Same with my mates, it's all about picking your Premier League team. Gets a bit old.
  15. I'd rather be an actor because they appear to have more longevity. Plus, I'm rubbish with musical instruments. If you had some spare cash sitting around are you more likely to use it to travel or to spend it on a luxury item?
