Sad and happy to hear about Pope. He deserves better so I'm glad he'll almost certainly end up getting it, just sad that it won't be in a wrestling ring.

Glad, most of all, that the Joe stuff will be winding up. Thank goodness. Thank, thank goodness.

Don't worry, they'll find another way to make Joe look absolutely ridiculous soon enough.

He's like the Jim Ross of TNA; ridiculously talented, loved by fans, but someone, somewhere, is absolutely dedicated to making him look like an idiot every week.

And I'm willing to put good money Scott Steiner's got something to do with it.

No Pope?? Damn, TNA just lost a guy who should've been a major player. Oh well, it's their own stupid fault, and from the sounds of it they need someone like Pope more than Pope needs them.

Just...no Pope...*sigh* :(

WWE will produce TVs in Mexico City this fall which has been on the drawing board from quite some time.

For anyone wondering after it was discussed in the Mistico announcement thread.

That could be a lot of fun. Definitely going to watch those shows, Mexican crowds have atmosphere like no where else in the world when they like something.

The old lady fans in Mexico are awesome:

This would probably be frowned upon by WWE though.

I hope they run RAW and Smackdown from the Arena Mexico; that crowd are something else and Sin Cara should get a monster reception into the bargain. Plus, as a bonus, there's a slim chance some of the resident luchadores could get on the show too.

WWE doesn't even bring in local talents to wrestle anymore. It'd be security at best they'd be playing.

It'll be a shame if they don't. They could probably get some great talent showing up just for the chance to wrestle Mistico.

Talking of Mistico, how many "Mistico" signs do you think are going to get confiscated from the crowd during the Smackdown taping? It's going to be absolutely ridiculous. It's like if Steve Austin was booked for a match in Madison Square Garden, but now you have to call him Billy Bumkins, there'd still be Steve Austin signs and merchandise EVERYWHERE, and we all now WWE's weird autism about anyone seeing or hearing anything on their shows that isn't EXACTLY, to a tee, what they want you to see or hear.

This is a different thing though; WWE's first televised event from Mexico could be enough to spur them into putting a few guys out there.

MVP defeated Toru Yano in the tournement final tonight to become the first ever IWGP Intercontential Champion.

Also on the tour Prince Devitt defeated Low Ki to retain the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title before teaming up with Taguchi to defeated and retain their Jr. Heavy tag belts against Ki and Homicide the next night.

Kenny Omega defeated Jushin Thunder Liger to become the new JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion and Tanahashi defeated Charlie Haas with the High Fly Low (Frog Splash) to retain his IWGP World Title.

WWE announced today that the former Bragging Rights PPV is now called Uprising. So presumably the SD vs Raw concept is history and its just a PPV.

Good, being so close to Survivor Series, Bragging Rights was stupid because it pretty much screwed a logical Raw v SD survivor series match.
