Halo: Reach is a good place to start, as it's a prequel to the Halo series, after that you should maybe wait for the HD Remake of the first game, Halo: Combat Evolved. I personally wasn't a fan of Halo 2 or 3, but they're probably worth a play but both will feel increibly dated compared to Reach and CE HD.

 

I remember playing Halo 2 on my housemates Xbox at Uni. We played co-op campaign and I loved it, but then the whole series kinda exploded and I kinda got fed up with it so I haven't played any of the others.

 

Plus, I really don't like playing a game if I know there are a shitload of others in the series, I know there are 3 main Halo games and then about another 3 spin off type ones, so I don't want to play number 1 knowing I've got another shitload to play.
