Does JJ have super powers? Dont know a lot about her tbh. Looks good though.

 

I like the fact they seem to be going the same route as the movies. Start with Daredevil (Iron Man) release Jessica Jones (Hulk), Iron Fist (Thor), Daredevil (Iron Man 2), Iron Fist (Cap 1) then the team up of Marvel Knights (Avengers). Its worked and the product has improved so hopefully the wont be a 'hulk' poor film. Also hoping S2 of DD isnt like IM2 as that wasnt great.

In the comics, she's got the 3 standard powers : flight, strength, durability, but she's definitely not invulnerable. Not sure about the series.

She has, as etz said, superhuman strength (of undetermined limits), enhanced durability and the power of flight. She also, thanks to Jean Grey, received the power of mental protection (think along the lines of a psychic bubble), which was after her first encounter with Purple Man and before she gave up the superhero mantle, so could feature here.

 

The main crux of her character is that she used to be a superheroine, but gave it up after her negative experience with Purple Man, The Avengers, etc, and set up a detective agency, which is where the comic Alias comes in and where we find her now.

 

Interestingly, she was at the same high-school as Peter Parker, but with the age difference of the two in the current MCU, that probably won't be the case.

Also hoping S2 of DD isnt like IM2 as that wasnt great.

I feel Marvel learned from that (and IM2 had a great turn by Rourke until he had the big suit at the end), plus The Punisher could be the showstealer.

Yeah, I'm all kinds of hyped for Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. He's got the right kind of look about him, and the episodes he did as "crazy Shane" towards the end of his run on Walking Dead bode good things.

First full trailer for the show and it looks like it's going to be epic and full of dark moments.

This appeared on Netflix today. I am going to try and watch a couple of episodes tonight and then some more tomorrow. Anyone watched any yet? A friend of mine has watched the first 5 eps already.

I watched episode 1 & 2 last night and holy sweet moses this is a good show. Typical detective show with a superhero and horror twist. Ritter is very good as Jessica Jones, Tennant is seriously creepy as Kilgrave, Coulter IS Luke Cage. I am looking forward to continue the binge watch tonight.

We're up to episode 6 and im liking it. Was a slow start but it's getting good. All actors and actresses are doing their job pretty well

Finally caught up on everything else.. now to check this show out.

That's pretty much my thoughts. Also, the bit with the Trish's fan was a nice nod.

Upto episode 6 now, holy shit, Tennant is creepy as hell.

Im watching ep 6 atm. Loving the flashbacks to show what happened between JJ and Kilgrave. Kilgrave is the creepiest thing I have seen on tv in quite a while.

Episode 9 has been easily the best so far we've seen and down right tennant's best work as kilgrave. He did a fine job there.

Ill try and get to that episode tomorrow @The Fury looking forward to it.

Ok the ending's to 10 and 11 were what the fuck moments! Show is getting stronger near the end.

Iv had to put my watching on hold so the missus can catch up. watching commences tonight when I get home.

Finished JJ last night and holy moses what a show. Very different feel from DD but I love them both. Marvel have knocked these 2 shows out of the park so far. Luke Cage next please.
