Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Yeah! New York

Instrumentally very nice but vocally not my thing, lass looks nice though.

5/10

Fluke - Absurd

On her way to the ring...Molly Holly. In all seriousness this sounds like some generic wrestling theme. I don't know, a bit too repetitive for me but the tune isn't crap.

6/10

Poets Of the Fall - War

Poets Of The Fall rings a bell, must have been in the music club before. Bit bland, like something I've heard before.

5/10

Masterplan - Soulburn

I've developed a dislike for this sort of music that's typically used for some World of Warcraft or whatever fan-made video. Me don't like it.

2/10

The Manic Street Preachers - Motown Junk

Hmm, I like some Manics but this song lands on the cold side. You can slap your laps to it but that's it.

6/10

Rialto - Monday Morning 5:19

Yeah I think I've heard of this before and I think I've heard something similar in another song that I can't name. Not my cup of tea, just sounds a little over the top dramatic music.

Let's see how brutal I can be this round...

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Yeah! New York

My god! Karen O is dead sexy and so totally my type. On to the song... I love it. It's upbeat and quirky. I've never been a big fan of this band. Meaning I don't own any of their music, but I could see that changing. Good stuff.

Fluke - Absurd

"Skinny Little Nancy Callahan... She grew up. She filled out."

I like industrial almost as much as I do metal. This is pretty good. I don't see myself adding this to any playlists, but I could listen to it again.

Poets Of the Fall - War

Nope.jpg. This sounds way to commercialized for my liking. I can turn on my local rock radio station and hear this stuff all day long. That's why I don't do that. It's not a bad song. I just don't personally like it. The symphonic feel has been done to death, and far better by better groups. The music is fine and the vocals are good. it's just not my thing, mang. Maybe I'd dig it more if I played the game.

3/10

Soulburn - Masterplan

Pretty much the same as above. Although I like this a little better. It has a nice power metal feel to it. I couldn't care less about the video though.

Manic Street Preachers - Motown Junk

I'd never heard much of this band until I 'met' Paul. Now I find myself listening to them every so often. I love the energy in this song. They lyrics are great and musically it makes me want to wreck the goddamned place. I've heard this before and will again.

Rialto - Monday Morning 5.19

Right off the bat this reminded me of The Legendary Pink Dots. So, so awesome. I love the dark vocal quality and the lyrics remind me of a thing I went through... AS A TEENAGER! :lol

Very nice song. I love how it starts to get dark around the 3 minute mark and then bounces back into the chorus.

My Turn!

Get all your 2/10's ready. x'D

Fist off I'll start with a song that is very dear to my heart for you guys to trample on.

Warrior Soul - The Losers

Next is some great Evil Elvis. Watch your volume. This gets loud at about 2:42.

The Manic Street Preachers: Motown Junk

Yeah i like a bit of The Manic's from time to time. Decent enough overall really, nothing truly special but good enough here. 7/10.

Rialto: Monday Morning 5:19

Don't ever recall hearing this before but that's not a bad thing because it's quite good. Vocally it's very good, the tune is alright too. Most likely something I'd listen to again. 8/10.

Warrior Soul - The Losers

Nice intro to it. Vocally it's pretty sound throughout, adapts well to the tune flow changes. 7/10

Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Slow opening but it settles into a nice rhythm soon enough. The change halfway through is pretty cool and ups the quality of the song. Pretty good. 7/10.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Yeah New York

Man, that's a lot of Yeahs. This is alright. White Stripes-ish, mind. Can't see me listening to it again, but it's not unpleasant.

6/10

Fluke - Absurd

This has been a big part of my life, sad innit? I feel like I know it off by heart, but I've never heard the vocal part before! Top track.

Jamster26

Poets Of The Fall - War

I dig this. Almost Marillion-y in places, which is never bad. Very mellow. Nice.

8/10

Masterplan - Soulburn

Eeeeeeh... it's Disturbed doing Paradise Lost? Ew! It's OK, if a little forgettable. Next!

6/10

Paul

Manics - Motown Junk

YES! Early Manics were awesome, right up until Richey vanished and they became blander than bland. I love this!

10/10

Rialto - Monday Morning 5.19

Britpop by the numbers? Not my bag, fairly middle of the road. Sounds like something the post-giving-a-damn Manics would do, even down to the strings. Meh.

4/10

Maxximus

Warrior Soul - Losers

YES! Kory Clarke is insane in the right way. I love this song, used to listen to that album all the time on cassette...

10/10

Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Ah, poor Glenn. Never quite as good or influential as he thinks he is/was. I can dig this, tho. Quite smart. Like the LOUD bit more than the quiet.

This I like. I like it alot. Might have to look for more by Fluke. 8/10

Poets of the fall- War

Big fan of Poets of the war. That said however this song is rather boring, and it takes way too long to really get into the song. I do love the vocals though 7/10

Master Pla- Soulburn

Yeah i love the piano intro to this, very nice. Not as sold on the rest of the song, a little too heard it all before for me. 6/10

PaulStar

Manic Street Preachers- Motown Junk

Love the vocals as usual with preachers. Good but not great musically. Awesome lyrics except I dont care much for the actual Motown Junk choruses. 7/10

Rialto- Monday Morning 5.19

Dig this. Nothing I didnt care for really. 9/10

Maxximus

The Losers-Warrior's soul

Good Stuff Maxx. Not what i expected at all. Vocally this guy kills it. Love the whole feel of the song, and the video. Intensity 10/10

Danzig- how the gods kil

Completely unimpressed with this choice, sadly, and I like Danzig. 6/10

Now my choices this round should thoroughly unimpress lol. I love country music as some of you know. However ninety percent of todays country is devoid of any real talent. Mediocre singers sing songs they didnt write about parties, drinking and farming. meh. So my two choices are a couple of artists who've somehow avoided this trap.

First the Zac Brown band is a group who have shown some amazing song writing chops, and Zac has a great voice. They do sing radio friendly pop country but they mix in some really great stuff. Also Zac looks like a badass, I wanna see him fight Randy Orton in a steel cage. Gotta be the beard.

[video=youtube;oouFE51HcqM]

Second The Band Perry are three very talented musicians who happen to be siblings. The two brothers are just insane musicians who can play any country instruments you give em, and Kimberly is a hell of a singer and an awesome lyricist. P.S. I would totally give it to Kimberly Perry. P.S.S The brothers are awful emo for coutry singers :lol

First choice. A band called Skin, they made a brief comeback last year, and this was their single.

[video=youtube_share;BZgWLLGZ3H4]

Skin: Stronger

Second choice: Gotta be some Alice. This was shot from the same tour that I went to see, pretty much what I saw live too:

[video=youtube_share;_3ihF1fSaJM]

Alice Cooper: Feed My Frankenstein Live

Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather

The minute that country nasal whiney voice kicks in, I lose the will to live. Hate that style of vocal. It's blandety bland bland bland :/

1/10

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

I just can't get into this either. I think the banjo picking finally put the final nail in the coffin. Sorry dude.

Exactly that. Exactly.

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

This band played at the State Fair not but 3 blocks from my house thus past summer and I could hear them from my porch. Aaaaaaaaaanywh*re, that's about as close as I would ever want to get to that band.

1/10

As for you, Inno. I'll get to you when I'm damn good and ready, pal.

Warrior Soul - The Losers

Marrillion meets AC/DC, and I mean that in the nicest possible way. This is pretty damned good, probably the best pick I've ever heard from ol' Maxxy. 9/10

Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Nice basic intro, then we get a bit of porn noise. Actually I find this a bit boring. Just dull as dishwater. Yeah, thats better, a bit of adrenalin. Now Im interested again. The softly softly bit went on too long for me. 5/10

Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather

As a country fan I wanted to like this, but its just the same song done by every other country singer ever. Bah. Bored. 2/10

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

This is much better. Vocals remind me a bit of Alanis in places. Not bad at all. 6/10

Skin: Stronger

Amazingly the vocal style is very much country here! :lol

Its decent enough, a touch of the Bryan Adams about it too. 7/10

Alice Cooper: Feed My Frankenstein Live

I have such a soft spot for this song. Its just brilliantly overblown but self aware. 9/10

Warrior Soul - The Losers

Nice nice intro and drums. Voice is OK and instrumentally it's very good.

8/10

Danzig - How The Gods Kill

Instrumentally quite cool although the quiet bit was a bit long and then we get some metal. I like the Jim Morrison style vocals but tbh I was never a Danzig fan so it get's a neutral rating.

5/10

Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather

Yeah like the rest said, the country voice just puts it to sleep. It's just boring but he get's two points for the beard.

2/10

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

Think I've heard of this before...from numerous other pop/country bands. Don't like it.

1/10

Skin - Stronger

Just the type of music the local "oldie" cover band would do. That being said, it was a bit boring for me.

3/10

Alice Cooper - Feed My Frankenstein

ooh haven't heard this in ages. Good choice, it's so in ya face and I love the live performance.

Pretty much exactly the response I expected from my picks. Surprised though that its been said the zac brown song is just any other country song. Nothing on country radio here sounds anything like it. Older country sure, thats probably why I liked it so much, and lyrically I love it. To each their own though. I expected em to be panned, but if even one person hears something new and likes it thats a good thing so Ill hold out hope Im not alone here :lol

Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather

It is truly an epic beard. Didn't like this though, it was a bit boring and bland. 3/10.

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

Probably not something I'd go back and listen to again, but it wasn't so bad. Has a better flow to the lyics and tune this one. Vocally it's pretty average, 5/10.

Skin: Stronger

This was alright. Little bit repetitive at times but flowed together nicely enough. 6/10.

Alice Cooper: Feed My Frankenstein Live

Really good choice here, especially a live version. Vocally as you'd expect here, the whole song workls very well. 9/10.

Soundgarden - Black Rain

I can see why some might like this, but I just didn't, not overly anyway. I dunno, it's not that bad it's that I just can't connect with this. 3/10.

Elliot Smith - Needle in the Hay

Vocally it's different, in a good way. Doesn't totally go with the tune for me but it comes out sounding ok as a whole. 6/10.

Not really my cup of tea. Then again what is my cup of tea is pretty far removed form this

Rialto - Monday Morning 5.19

I hate teenage emos and this reminded me of it

2/10

Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather

I wanted to find a better way of saying this so I could sound quasi intellegent, but no it's really just bland

2/10

The Band Perry - If I Die Young

I was about halfway through the song when I realized I wasn't even bothering to pay attention 1/10.

Skin: Stronger

Okay....I guess. 5/10.

Alice Cooper: Feed My Frankenstein Live

I really cannot stand Alice Cooper, I gave up like a minute in. 1/10.

Elliot Smith - Needle in the Hay

this song was not a needle in the hay. 5/10.

Next up Rialto: Monday Morning 5:19

I may have used this before, but I dont remember for sure.

Just so you know, you did. YEARS ago back in one of the original Music Clubs that Inno did via emailing the files. Maybe #4 or #5. I still have the song from then, as a matter of fact.
