Guest The Beltster
Not a fan of those creases in the top of the cape and his hair looks a bit, I dunno.....huge? Looks like a bouffant! As for the race thing, generally I'm against a race switch on well established characters as its usually done just to do it rather than for any good reason, but that guy to me he isnt a big enough deal to care about. If Superman himself was black or Chinese or something that would be a different story. Edited August 4, 2011 by The Beltster
DC 536
Some pics from the location shoot show us Faora (played by Antje Traue) in full costume. There also appears to be a man doing some perfomance-capture too. In the other shot, we see Superman in all his costumed glory (albeit in a fuzzy photo) advancing towards Faora and Performance Capture Man. The big talking point? Confirming rumours that have been doing the rounds, Superman isn't wearing his red pants and now appears to be sporting a one-piece blue outfit. Thanks to AICN for the pics. http://i56.tinypic.com/219ul4z.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2mngj6q.jpg There's also a competition to win -:Two tickets to attend the ‘Man of Steel’ movie premiere on a date TBA Round trip coach class air transportation for Grand Prize winner and one guest from a major airport nearest the winner’s U.S. residence to the premiere of ‘Man of Steel’ (date: TBA) airport transfers only. etz 78
FFS, Superman looks totally wrong in an all blue suit....
Guest John Hancock
I think it's impossible to make a Superman suit that isn't at least slightly lame.

Rouths was ok, a bit dark for my tatse but ok. But no red underwear is , well, pants :P Oh, he's also missing the belt, as well as the briefs. Guest John Hancock
He, it does seem to be missing the most famous part of the whole outfit.
etz 78
Yeah, I think the red briefs suit just breaks up the blue more, which isn't a bad thing, judging from the picture.
Guest John Hancock
Maybe they'll CGI them in, just for the f*ck of it.

dsrchris 190
Maybe they'll CGI them in, just for the f*ck of it. In 3D. With stereoscopic "supernads", and realistic bulges.
Guest SuperKick Kid
I believe the guy in the motion capture suit is Michael Shannon, the guy who is playing Zod. Also, I believe they recently got rid of the red underwear in the comics for Superman. So, that is consistent with the current look. In the classic Batman look, Batman has the underwear on the outside: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a7/Batman_Lee.png/250px-Batman_Lee.png Yet you don't see those on Christian Bale. They are modernizing the suit. I this Superman he has a belt on, it just isn't that well visible in these spy photos.

Maxximus 353
That is the best looking Superman I've ever seen. I dig the work boots.
Paul 584
Not in main continuity. His new one, that was unveiled in january(ish) is http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/8688/smcv1.jpg As SKK says, no red pants. Of course I could be mixing up continuities again... Maxximus 353
DC continuity is a pain in the ass. At least for me anyway.
etz 78
Jeans and T-shirt is easily the best look I've seen. That new costume which Darkstar posted isn't as bad in the pic as it looks in the actual photo, mainly because the one in the photo looks too dark. Still not a fan of it, mind. Hopefully, it looks better on screen.
DC 536
I'm catching up on any MoS related news and checked out the IMDb page. One entry on the cast list made me sit up and take notice as there has been literally nothing mentioned about him in any of the press releases. Michael Clarke Duncan ... Darkseid :eek

DC 536
Here's a screen dump of the IMDb cast page showing him in the list. I went back to make sure I didn't dream it as there is nothing else about it on the MoS or Clarke Duncan Wiki pages, the official movie site or even in a Google search. Only the IMDb pages for the film and the actor seem to mention it. http://i56.tinypic.com/2nia53s.jpg Edited October 15, 2011 by DC
