Probably Toy Story 1 and 2, when talking about animated kids films. Although, I see Pixar films as "family" films more then I see them as "kids" films anyway.

As for non-animated kids films, I'm not sure. If Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original 1970's one) counts, then that.

As much as I hate to give Anime any credit at all, considering that most of it is horrific, Spirited Away is pretty great. So is My Neighbor Totoro.

What the heck are you on about? :?

Vaguely pedophilic set-pieces. That's what happens in it.

Huh?

Karate Kid was my favourite as a kid along with Alladin. Now just about anything by either Studio Ghibli or Pixar is a great watch even as an adult.

I also would like to point out that Transformers is as good as, if not slightly better than it was when I was a kid.

I swear down my one friend still wells up when Optimus Prime dies. The big wuss. :lol

Okay, I've taken a look back through my box of VHS tapes, and this is what I found from when I was a kid:

Both Bill & Ted films

Jurasssic Park

Action Force: The Movie

Willow

The Goonies (how has no-one mentioned THE F*CKING GOONIES!!?)

Short Circuit 1 & 2

Basil The Great Mouse Detective

and for some reason Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. Yeesh.

F/X has a guy getting shot repeatedly in the face near the beginning IIRC so I wouldn't call it a kids movie. Then again people let little kids watch stuff like Halloween.
