1) The use of Rose Tyler I thought was quite good but also at the same time a bit of a gip

It was great. The Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman and Moffet panel was great as was the 5th, 6th and 7th one. Some nice panels with companions. Good merchandise and the queues were not as bad as I thought. Picked up a Sonic Screwdriver Wii remote too. Great day shame about having to get up a 4 this morning though!

I was really looking forward to this episode but i must say i was sorely disappointed. My fav dr (tennant) was not the dr anymore in my eyes. The story i didnt enjoy to much i wanted more time war. I didnt like much about this episode at all. Heres noping the xmas special is better......

I loved the annivesary episode this weekend, It'll no doubt benefit from repeat viewings.

 

 

However the fact that the Zygon strand of the story was completely ignored about two thirds into the episode has really annoyed me.

A great trailer and really looking forward to the Christmas special. Matt won me over in the end after I was initially dissapointed in his early run as the Doctor. I think the ring of Akhaten episode really made me like him as the Doctor and he got better and better from that point forward.

 

I'm interested in seeing what Peter Capaldi will bring to the role. From what I have seen from various clips etc, he seems a quite dark character so will he be more of an Eccleston doctor rather than a Tennant / Smith Doctor?

I like Peter Capaldi's voice, his voice-over work is very powerful I hope he keeps it rather than changing it.

The episode seemed abit rushed to me. I liked the scene where the Doctor gets the regeneration energy from the time lords but I thought it was rather dragged out. The episode seemed abit rushed me to also.

I think the quick regen was because they'd done the usual glowing already in the ep

Well yeah, they said as much in the episode. It just worked really well as a reveal after we've all been used to the big dramatic drawn out regenerations.

I thought it was really drawn out. Much preferred it if he had regenerated after he had received the regeneration cycle and he did that great speech.

Yeah, I see what you mean. It was kinda weird to have the "young" doctor show up in the TARDIS at the end. Loved the little nods with the bowl of fish fingers and custard though.

 

So what's everyone's interpretation of a "regeneration cycle"? Are we just talking one regeneration, or did they give him another "cycle" of 12?
