On a similar note, the average mobile phone is more powerful than what NASA were using during the Moon landings.

If we're talking about the Apollo Guidance Computer (which is usually what these comparisons are about), then that was also true of the Nokia 3210, and probably earlier phones. But, the software the AGC ran was incredibly sophisticated and hyper-optimized. For it's time it was an incredible achievement.

This is true, also true is that when the Nintendo 64 was released back in 1996 it was actually marketed as being something like four times more powerful then the computer that put man on the moon.

Still couldn't run Donkey Kong 64 without extra RAM though.

Also everybody thinks cats purr when are really happy, truth is they also do it to soothe themselves when they are frightned or in a sh**e load of pain.

Finally Iru-Bru in a glass bottle from Scotland tastes better then any version, canned or plastic bottled or whatever, that you can buy anywhere else.

Yeah, our cats actually purr to each other when the other one is freaked out, but they're siblings. Our female also purrs when you give her attention, especially scratches. She's so loud you can hear her purring in the next room. The male doesn't deign to anything as lowly as purring (ok, he does, but he does it very quietly and he doesn't look like he would. Proper regal little chap he is). But he'll butt your hand if you stop scratching. My cats are just about as friendly as dogs, to the point they'll follow you from room to room just to keep you company.
