The Fury 65
and here's the official first bit of news Sources have informed WZ there is growing concern within WWE as to whether or not CM Punk vs The Rock at The Royal Rumble is a wise move. The Royal Rumble usually sells itself and has traditionally always been one of the best bought pay-per-views throughout the years. The worry seems to be whether or not having The Rock in a high profile match at the Rumble is the best use of WWE's time and focus. Several officials are concerned that with The Rock appearing at the PPV, the attention paid to the Royal Rumble match will be less than what it should be, from both an advertising and creative standpoint. This concern is coming from the talent as well as those in positions of power. As of now, there is no set plan or path on exactly what is going to happen regarding The Rock at Rumble and the road to WrestleMania. Apparently, if you were to ask most in WWE a few months ago, they would say it was a sure thing The Rock wins the title at Rumble. Now, there is less certainty as WWE is said to have not made final decisions on any of the high profile names, feuds and matches for WrestleMania 29. Wrestlezone reported earier that two-time WWE Hall of Famer "Nature Boy" Ric Flair would be making his return to the All Japan Pro Wrestling promotion. Speculation is that he will be promoting his son, Reid Flair, as he begins his pro wrestling career with AJPW. However, the Puroresu Spirit Facebook page has now confirmed Ric Flair's current status as an "active competitor", which could lead to an in-ring return for the 16-time World Champion. Flair has not wrestled a match since September of 2011, where he lost to Sting on an episode of Impact Wrestling.

The Fury 65
morning :D According to F4WOnline.com, one WrestleMania 29 match which seems set in stone is Brock Lesnar vs Triple H in a rematch from SummerSlam. As of now, the plan is for Lesnar to return to WWE TV in late February and build up to the PPV bout on April 7th. At this point, it's unknown whether or not Lesnar will re-sign with WWE after his contract expires following WrestleMania 29. Lesnar signed a one year deal with WWE last year, and it's assumed that the company will offer Lesnar a new deal as officials have been pleased with Lesnar box office numbers and his matches against John Cena and Triple H. Should Lesnar decide that he doesn't want to work for WWE following his match against Triple H at WrestleMania, the company will once again face a "WrestleMania Hangover" situation, with big name part-timers such as The Rock, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and Triple H taking time off. According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE has big plans for Raw this month, beginning with next week's show and the 20th anniversary of Raw on January 14th. As we previously reported, the last two Raw shows of 2012, which were taped and aired on holiday nights, drew very poor ratings and ended the year with sinking numbers for WWE. As a result, the company plans to kick off 2013 with a bang, and has booked a TLC Title match for Raw next week, as well as the return of The Rock. Additionally, the show will be faced with stiff competition as the BCS National Championship game is broadcast that night. According to WWE sources, there are big Raw plans in store for 1/7 that should have everybody "buzzing" by 11:15pm EST. As for the January 14th edition of Raw, which is the 20th anniversary of the show, various WWE Legends are expected to make appearances, and since the show emanates from Houston, TX, it's very possible that The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and/or Steve Austin could appear. It's also very possible that WWE could announce the first inductee into the 2013 Hall of Fame that night. On the whole, Vince McMahon is said to be very high on kicking off 2013 and the road to WrestleMania in a big way, so WWE has plans for every Raw show this month to be "stacked," to help boost WWE into the new year. Despite previous reports claiming otherwise, PWInsider.com is reporting injured WWE star Sin Cara has not been medically cleared to return to the ring as of 12/29. Cara was backstage at the 12/29 Raw TV taping, however was not used as he had yet to receive medical clearance. Cara recently tweeted that he was back home in Mexico continuing to recover. Typically, WWE releases several talents following WrestleMania each year, in a move commonly referred to as "spring cleaning." This year might be different, however, as F4WOnline.com is reporting that with all the new programming WWE has added to its TV line-up, fewer talents, if any, might be released following WrestleMania 29. Guest Jayfunk
I can see TNA building Aces and 8s vs Angle/Joe/Sting/AJ(maybe) in the leathal Lockdown main event I can see hardy dropping the world title soon to either roode or aries, he really doesn't need the belt and I have enjoyed TNA really putting over new guys recent with roodes long title run, aries, storm etc why having the bigger names lower down
Guest Jamster26
Do you not think AJ will turn heel given his promo a couple of weeks back? If anything, I think he is more likely to join the Aces and Eights rather than stand up for TNA.

Guest Jimmy Redman
About a year or so ago Random News and Comments became just Random News to discourage people from posting every single wrestling thought in here and instead try and add it to a relevant thread or more importantly start a new one. It is still the place for an impossibly random comment that has absolutely no place anywhere else, but only if you must. Jay's, for example, could go into some sort of open TNA thread since its just a comment about TNA's current storyline. It doesnt matter really, not now, but yeah the point is, only use this for random thoughts if absolutely necessary, because we actually want new threads and topics of discussion, not just one giant general thread where everything gets dumped.
