Omega 354
I'd assume not given that those take longer to produce and come out, I'd assume the streaming side is to prevent people booking talent after WWE makes them famous and getting footage out immediately to capitalise on it. I wonder how this affects Wolfgang, he's ICW champ so he's probably got to lose the title on a taped show. I wonder if Dallas has a "Special Relationship" given they are probably the big indie name that is being linked with the network that will allow them to continue to broadcast their own stuff in parallel. The weird things I've read is WWE apparently have some financial stake in Floslam
DC 536
The weird things I've read is WWE apparently have some financial stake in FloslamYeah; I mentioned a few posts ago that I'd read reports stating the same, though other reports lean towards it being that WWE made a financial investment to get the service up and running, but have no actual stake in the company itself. Seems this is where they could have some (slight?) leverage in getting EVOLVE to move streaming platforms. On another note, the indies that appear on The Network (if that does come to fruition) could benefit from WWE name talent appearing on their shows in a one-off capacity (surprise or pre-announced; the latter being more likely due to the tickets it would likely sell, although the former would give said indy shows a "you never know who might appear at a live event" vibe too) more blatantly than they do now. Omega 354
What I'd like to see is them using NXT as a stagingpoint between theindies and WWE. I'd love something like PoloPromotions to turn up on NXT with the ICW titles and challenge whoever is champs to a title v title, lose, have the NXT guys do a few events for ICW alongside NXT and then allow Polo Promotions to win back their belts and maybe the NXT ones for a short period. Something where it could go on for a decent amount of time, expose the talents to the two sorts of audience (because I think WWE guys would benefit from working with the more interactive European audiences) and ultimately bring on lots of new talent without necessarily having to have everyone "on" the NXT roster. Kam 243
I'm interested to see where this 5 Star Wrestling thing is going on Spike TV in the UK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJg1SQ-d658 Just a reminder for all, this is airing now, it's 2 hours. Guest
A slight spoiler concerning Tyler Bate and Wolfgang. Wolfgang and Tyler Bate had matches before NXT Takeover which will possibly air on the NXT tapings soon. Bate faced off with Oney Lorcan, not sure who Wolfgangs opponent was. Dunne and Trent Seven were of course in the UK during the weekend for PROGRESS Chapter 43. Also, this 5 Star Wrestling thing was really just a showcase of former WWE stars right? Meh, don't know about that.. Edited January 31, 2017 by Shaun2J
dsrchris 190
It's only just twigged that 5 star wrestling are the same people responsible for that shitty, shitty wrestling game called 5 star wrestling. From what I remember the game was supposed to be a way to fund the wrestling shows, when in reality it looks like it was just a way for them to get the imports they wanted. I know it's probably a really snobbish attitude to have, but I don't count that 5 Star show as a UK Wrestling show. Sure it's a show that took place in the UK, but where World of Sport and WWE actually made a point of utilising and showcasing UK talent, this 5 Star show just didn't. Actually, they seem to have more in common with 1PW than anyone else, and we all know how that went down...
Guest
One of Europe's prestige tournaments today is on the horizon with wXw 16 Carat Gold commencing on 10. - 12. March. I for one cannot wait and it looks to be sold out in the next couple of days. Unfortunately, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne were pulled from the tournament due to WWE commitments. Here's the 1st Round draw (shoddy draw aside :D) http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/pages/posts/wxw-16-carat-gold-2017-3278.php http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Ilja_Dragunov_vs._Robert_Dreissker.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Mike_Bailey_vs._ACH.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_JT_Dunn_vs._Marius_Al-Ani.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Koji_Kanemoto_vs._Timothy_Thatcher.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Cody_Rhodes_vs._Winner_Road_to.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_David_Starr_vs._Walter.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Donovan_Dijak_vs._Matt_Riddle.jpg http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_1_Bad_Bones_vs._Paul_London.jpg After defeating WALTER in a no. 1 Contendership match in London, 2 weeks ago, Jurn Simmons will face Axel Dieter Jr. for the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship. http://www.wxw-wrestling.com/media/2017/16_Carat_Gold_2017/16_Carat_2017_Matchgrafik_DAY_2_Axel_Dieter_Jr._vs._Jurn_Simmons.jpg Some guys will be pulling double-duty with Ambition 8 also taking place Saturday afternoon. Omega 354
Lionheart and Joe Hendry had a little shoot/handbag moment in Manchester this week. Rumour is Lionheart made an off colour remark about Hendry's missus backstage, Joe took that into the ring and shot on Lionheart. Lionhert was dropped from the tour which seems a little harsh given Joe took it into the ring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSoD28uTOoE
Guest
I was actually going to post about this after reading through some comments in the official ICW group on Facebook. But weren't the said comments by Lionheart said in a promo on a show Hendry wasn't on? I couldn't understand what was said because of Scottish people actually writing on FB/Twitter like how they would talk in real life. xD "I'll stop taking selfies wae ma dug when you stop shaggin' one" I'm not sure if it's a full shoot, Lionheart has been open about this on Twitter and has taken Hendry off his Pro Wrestling Elite show. I'd have thought that for it to be a full shoot, fists would have been flying but maybe in this case, it was Hendry trying to out-wrestle and embarrass Lionheart. (Lionheart mentioned it happening before with Jackie Polo in a statement on Twitter) It really should have been handled backstage, Hendry is better than that. I also think it's harsh that Lionheart is the only one getting scratched from the tour. Who knows where it'll go on from here, maybe they'll go further and make the real-life heat into a work. Depends on if Dallas will go on board with it. ----------------- Has anyone read or heard about comments made by the PCW social media team (probably Fludder) being total dicks to fans regarding the Kris Travis tournament and profits not going to charity? Well Pete Dunne pulled himself from the show due to "insensitive comments", was replaced by Marty Scurll and he cancelled too. So Pentagon's without an opponent as of right now. Not sure on the current situation, all loosely based on stuff I've read on UKFF and twitter. ---------------------- Also going to my first wXw show of the year tomorrow in Hamburg. Commenwealth Catch Kings better be taking over!
Omega 354
When you look at it it looks like Hendry is dong all the forehead pushing, shoving and not releasing Lionheart from the corner. Lionheart works it our and then Hendry just takes him down to the canvas and shoves his forearms in his face. I don't see Lionheart retaliate until Hendry is literally on top of him. If it was in a promo then Hendry needs to buck up given that he's made a career out of singing songs mocking people. If it was backstage then punch Lionheart in the mouth and then have the match or don't. End of the day the ring is the workplace so be professional. Guest
Update on Lionheart/Hendry: http://www.insanewrestling.co.uk/news/stories/lionheart_hendry_statement/ "We have received a lot of attention online regarding an incident that occurred on our recent show in Manchester involving Joe Hendry and Lionheart, resulting in a scheduled match not taking place. To avoid any further speculation regarding this incident, we would like to inform the Insane Championship Wrestling fans that this situation has been dealt with internally. Joe Hendry will perform as scheduled in next weekends upcoming tour shows, and Lionheart will return to action soon." And that's that.
Guest
So after a massive and awesome 16 Carat Gold Tournament. Ilja Dragunov defeated Walter in a brutal match. I have never wanted a chop-fest to stop, Walter just didn't stop and skin was ripping off. My chest was literally hurting with Ilja. Look at the guys chest and really check this guy out in the next upcoming months. In fact, watch and listen to what Walter just does. https://twitter.com/wXwGermany/status/841014227607408642 Edited March 14, 2017 by Shaun2J

Guest
In unexpected news, Axel Dieter Jr. is leaving wXw at the end of the month to head overseas. NXT is the rumour going round and obviously the most likely. All the best for him, but it's kind of a bummer because I feel his story and the Ringkampf story didn't climax properly and he certainly had a lot more to go as a singles competitor. Both he and Walter also started a great run for PROGRESS too. He's really going to leave a gap for wXw but the future is bright.
Guest
WWE held their usual tryouts in the UK before RAW kicked off in London. William Regal, Matt Bloom and Steve Corino were there to scout. Looking at the article and the photos, here a few names that took part: - Jurn Simmons - Marius Al-Ani - BT Gunn - Stevie Boy - Martin Kirby - Flash Morgan Webster - Travis Banks - TK Cooper - Chris Brookes - Adam “Flex” Maxted - Juvenile X - T-K-O - Josh Bodom - Chris Tyler - Sadie Gibbs - "Big Grizzly" Steve Griffiths - Liam Thomson - Ivan Kostadinov http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwenxt/article/wwe-tryout-london-may-2017 Happy that they've got the opportunity but if Jurn Simmons and Marius Al-Ani leave wXw, I'll be a sad bunny. Jurn is on fire and Marius hasn't used his full potential yet. Happy for #CCK, TK Cooper and Flash though. Edited May 9, 2017 by Shaun2J
