hulk hogan has been removed from the wwe.com hall of fame page, all of his merchandise has been took off wwe shop and he has been took off tough enough....WTF. is it because of the lawsuit against a porn company, is WWE trying to distance itself from hogan because of it. Edited by pheadley

Seems a little drastic just for that, Hogan tweeted something randomly cryptic "In the storm I release control,God and his Universe will sail me where he wants me to be,one love. HH" so maybe there's something else about to come out and Hogan has given them the heads up?

They never remove people from the HOF section so it must be something pretty drastic. That radio interview is years old so I cant imagine its that.

WWE wrestling star Hulk Hogan appears to have been removed from the organisation’s official website after reportedly making racist slurs against fellow wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Sources say they have seen transcripts of yet-to-be-released audio in which Hogan uses racist terms to describe Johnson - who appears as The Rock on WWE.

American journalist Marc Lamont Hill tweeted: "...the transcripts that I've seen have Hogan calling The Rock the 'N-word' and 'sambo' among others."

There is a story on the Hulk Hogan situation going around from a “Read Talk Share” website and it should be noted that the website is satire. Any Hogan story on there is just that – satire. The story has already been shared thousands of times and by the looks of social media, people are believing it.

However, there is another website that claims they heard a snippet from the alleged Hogan audio that is going around. MediaTakeout.com, which has been the source of some crazy rumors over the years but has also reported credible stories, says they heard part of the audio and called it “disgusting, there can be no doubt that Hulk Hogan is a racist.” They allege that the tape was discovered during Hogan’s lawsuit with Gawker, which backs up other rumors we’ve heard. They add that it was sold to the National Enquirer and comes from a legal disposition. MTO also noted that WWE had the chance to hear the audio on Thursday night and were appalled, which is why they began distancing themselves.

As noted, WWE removed all Hogan mentions from their website, removed his merchandise from WWE Shop and he’s been pulled as a judge on Tough Enough. They even dropped the “Axelmania” gimmick for Curtis Axel that was a Hogan parody.

Sources are still saying that the audio in question will be released this morning so we will keep you updated.

The WWE put out a statement suggesting the firing had to do with unspecified offensive comments made by Hogan:

WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.

Quite a few comments doing the rounds, mainly looking like his ones about the Rock and the people who worked with his daughter on her records were the ones that done him in, mass use of the word nigger and the admittance of being a racist aren't going to make life any easier for him.

Uh oh.

Watch, TNA will hire him :lol

This is being touted as a direct quote from the recorded dialogue.

VERY MUCH NSFW

“I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son.

I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n*ggers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever.”

I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n*gger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n*gger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!

I guess we’re all a little racist. F*cking n*gger.”

I have some sympathy with people who make a direct comment against, say, one person and then it's made public because you can hate anyone if it's them. I'm less sympathetic when it's clear what's been uncovered is something like this, where they have a really horrific opinion or negative view like this. Plus if it's recorded somewhere for a reason then you're fairly silly for saying it somewhere that it's possible to be proved to be a scumbag. It's a bit like the Malkay Mckay thing, sure they were private emails but they were EMAILS. That shit is recorded and archived probably for years and years. If you don't want people to find out you're a sexist bigot then, you know, don't write that shit down because somewhere, somehow those records will be found.

By all accounts, Hogan said it during one of his f*ck-sessions with Mrs Love Sponge, so I cant imagine for a second he knew or assumed he was being recorded. To be fair, people (as in all people, as in everybody) says bad things in private at times, be-it racist, sexist or just mean/nasty/horrible so in that respect, Hogan isnt any different than anybody else. Problem is, it got out, he's famous, he was caught saying one of the worst things imaginable outside of probably being a pedo and now he's royally f*cked.

I bet you that that sort of conversation was the norm back in the 80's when all the wrestlers were on the road. I can only imagine how widespread racism was in wrestling back then (and everywhere), wrestlers from that era are some of most un-likeable, wretched human beings ever and I bet all those guys who felt that way then still feel that way now. Its a mindset people generally dont get out of and its a shame because its so retarded.
