The new X Men movie is already in view, its like the X Men: First Class series it seems.

ZP: I'm attached to it. I'm also supposed to write and direct one of the X-Men spin-off movies for Fox, but that's not a Marvel film. It's not a pure Marvel movie. It's a Fox thing.

 

CMix: One of the X-Men spin-off movies? Any one in particular?

 

ZP: Yeah, it's like a young X-Men. It's a pretty cool idea, actually. I can't sell you the whole idea, but it involves a younger group of X-Men at the beginning.

 

CMix: You mean, like an X-Men: First Class kind of thing?

 

ZP: It is a little bit like that. I don't want to give away the concept of it, but it is a good idea. It is a little bit more of getting back to the classic X-Men. Some of the complaints we've talked about, it would address those directly.

A new picture has been released showing the main characters from the film and I like it a lot.

In there, from left to right, we have Deadpool, Gambit, Wolverine, Victor Creed (eventually Sabretooth) and Silver Fox.

 

 

And here is the official trailer, which features, among others (and those listed above), Blob, Emma Frost, Banshee, Cyclops, John Wraith, William Striker, a pre-Adamantium Wolverine (bone claws), Agent Zero, Beak, Jason Stryker, Storm, (possibly) Juggernaut and Weapon XI.

I'm really excited about this film and think Liev Schrieber comes across awesomely as Creed.

This just gets better and better. I'm glad you get to see more of Deadpool and Blob in action... and it's confirmed that Cyclops is definitely in the movie (which begs the question of how and why he doesn't remember Wolverine or Sabretooth come the first x_men movie).

Yes, yes you did.

 

Also, he's been confirmed for ages (with the theatrical trailer even having Wolverine mention him by name and this thread having numerous comments on his appearance in the film), so I'm unsure why you're saying he is "meant to be".

I was typing how I talk when I said "he's meant to be in the film" DC, I know he's been cast and what not but if I was speaking about it rarther then typing i'd say "I know he's meant to be in the film but damn he looks cooler then I thought he would"

Finally got around to watching the trailer (and the TV spots) and mighty me, this looks like a good film! Is it just me or does Wolverine have an odd Triple H look about him when he comes out of the water? I adore Ryan Reynolds anyway so i'm looking forward to seeing him! The dude who plays Gambit, Taylor Kirsch or something, well he's quite lovely to look at, isn't he?

A third trailer has been released by 20th Century Fox and is available to view here. The window is very small, but the last icon on the bottom allows you to make it full-screen.

 

There's a lot of old ground covered, but there is also new footage of Blob, Wraith (with what looks like the coolest teleport effects ever), Gambit, Cyclops, Deadpool and Weapon XI (who appears to also have Cyclops' eye-beams; hinting that Stryker is actually trying to combine mutant powers into one creation).

 

This one goes from strength to strength.

I wasn't looking forward to that film at all until I saw that trailer. Even if it's just for the "Ooooh it's [which ever X-man happens to be on screen" factor.

 

With Sabretooth and Deadpool in there (I also think I saw Maverick and Kestral in that trailer), does anyone know whether or not Silver Fox or Mastodon will be making an appearance? If they are, I may explode in fanboy-dom.

 

One annoying thing, by the look of it, they seem to have decided that Wolverine's American, which is kinda frustrating.

 

EDIT: Just went back a few pages and saw Silver Fox, which is awesome, with pretty much all of Team X in the film, I'm going to go ahead and assume that Mastodon will be there.

Deadpool has appeared unmasked and un maimed in the trailers so far but still wearing red and wielding his swords.

One minor criticism... again.

 

I really don't like how Sabretooth looks at all. He looks like one of the Thundercats, and he's way too small.

 

I am looking more and more forward to this film though.
