Tazz is a weird one, as the Billy & Chuck Rule states that Taz was The Tazmaniac in ECW and thus his name was clearly just a shortened version, yet the Christian Rule is that he was Tazz in WWE and in TNA. So are we accepting Tazz as a real first name?

 

Taz dropped the surplus Z upon entering TNA. I always considered Taz to be his name, but that was because I was new to wrestling and wasn't aware of his roots as Tazmaniac.

Mabel gets a pass, but Viscera is one of those ones that aren't a proper name (The name was given to him by Undertaker, when he was inducted into the Ministry, and happens to be one letter short of visceral.)

I count him in the same bracket as Billy Gunn in that the gimmick evolved, but the character has been the same since he came in.
