CM Punk will walk out with Sonnen on the FOX show(in Chicago), the night before the Royal Rumble. Which is news of some sort.

Anyone remember Hermes Franca from the UFC? He was a Brazilian lightweight and had a bunch of fights between 2006 and 2009. He fought guys like Nate Griffon, Sean Sherk, Frankie Edger...

Anyway, he just got found guilty of sexually assaulting a minor. HAAAAAAAPY NEW YEEEEAAAAAR!

The last time I mentioned betting odds, it was for Overeem to beat Lesnar. Even though he was odds on, it was a great price. There is a similar bet with Guillermo Rigondeaux against Rico Ramos. Rigo is 1/2 and yet he should probably be something like 1/7.

The reason those odds are short is because Rigondeaux has only had 8 fights and Ramos is undefeated. However, Rigondeaux had 374 wins for only 12 losses as an amateur and won every possible competition before leaving Cuba for America. Ramos, however, is just 'decent'.

I won't encourage anyone to bet outside of their means but it should be easy money.

...of course, I've probably jinxed this fight now ;)

In case anyone did think this was worth a bet, the odds have now changed to 4/9. Soon, they'll be 1/3 and then probably even shorter. Boxing fans realise that 1/2 was very generous, so if you are gonna bet, do it quickly before the odds shorten even further.

Vinnie Mac's vetoed it, because it would cause joy, and Vince would rather die than let anyone take enjoyment in anything. Vince hates you. Personally. By name.

WWE champion CM Punk will not escort Chael Sonnen to the Octagon prior to Sonnen's fight against Mark Munoz on Jan. 28, after all.

Punk confirmed with MMAFighting.com that WWE chairman Vince McMahon decided against allowing him to walk out to the cage with Sonnen later this month. MMA reporter FrontRowBrian first reported the news Friday afternoon.

The Punk/Sonnen pairing created a major buzz in both the MMA and professional wrestling world when it was first reported, but most assumed it was UFC president Dana White who would be against the idea of a pro wrestler walking out to the cage with a top fighter on FOX, not McMahon.

The StrikeForce stupidity continues:

King Mo Lawal, who defeated Lorenz Larkin on 1/7 in Las Vegas, was announced today by the Nevada State Athletic Commisison to have tested positive for the anabolic steroid Drostanalone, also known as Masteron.

Masteron is a steroid used in weight class sports to maintain strength levels while dropping weight.

The commission tested 15 fighters at the show for performance enhancing drugs. The other 14, who were Luke Rockhold, Keith Jardine, Robbie Lawler, Tyron Woodley, Tarec Saffiedine, Tyler Stinson, Nah-Shon Burrell, James Terry, Gian Villante, Trevor Smith, Ricky Legere, Chris Spang, Estevan Payan and Alonzo Martinez, all tested negative for all prohibited substances.

WO.com.

That's their next "big" Light Heavyweight title fight gone...

Man, Strikeforce are in real trouble. Their only really draw left now is Tate vs. Rousy. There's no one for Gilbert Melendez to fight unless they bring someone over from the UFC, the entire grand prix is a complete joke, Diaz is gone, Shields is gone, Miller's gone, Henderson's gone, Santos is suspended, Carano is retired, Overeem's gone, Werdum's gone, Emilianenko's gone, Silva's gone, and now King Mo's suspended too? It's a real mess over there right now, they don't have long left at this rate.

From what I know, Dana didn't grow up with his biological parents and said a few things about them not being there to raise him. His Mum responded by writing a f*cking insane autobiography in which she openly compared him to Satan, called him "egotistical, self-centered, arrogant, and cruel", and that she related to the film Rosemary's Baby in that she felt she'd given birth to the anti-Christ. Also, seems his Mum is, ahem, quite the Catholic, and Dana's a VERY outspoken atheist, and that seems to have lead his Mum to come out of the woodwork to deny that he was atheist, despite the fact that he said he was.

EDIT: A mother talking about her son, lest we forget.

With a Mum like this, all of Dana's assholeness is totally forgiven.

For the first time since Zuffa has owned UFC, a major PPV show has been canceled.

Neil Davidson of the Canadian Press has just reported that the 3/24 show in Montreal, which was to be UFC 145, has been canceled, citing scheduling complications and desire to deliver a championship card.

Dana White has said there will be a show in Montreal, but they did not have a new date. The 3/24 date fell apart because the company was unable to get a PPV quality main event on that date.

That's an interesting decision, especially so close to the time. Here's what the card was:

Light-Heavyweight bout: Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin

Welterweight bout: Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills

Heavyweight bout: Travis Browne vs. Chad Griggs

Lightweight bout: Mark Bocek vs. Matt Wiman

Featherweight bout: Mark Hominick vs. Eddie Yagin

Heavyweight bout: Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell

Lightweight bout: Mac Danzig vs. Efrain Escudero

Lightweight bout: John Makdessi vs. Anthony Njokuani

Welterweight bout: Chris Clements vs. Keith Wisniewski

Griffin/Ortiz could easily Main Event most shows but the rest of that card is pretty poor. I think it's just a Canada thing though as they can't have a GSP fight for a while.

It may amount to nothing, but a pretty huge boycott of the UFC is being organised until they drop support of SOPA/PIPA.

Cheers, mate. I won exactly £100, which was a good return. Even though I was 99% sure, that was the most money I've ever put on a single bet! I wish I had bigger balls and put even more on :lol

Rigondeaux is a special fighter though.

This is so, so not going to happen, but thinking about it excites me. UFC owns Pride, and seem to be kinda pushing Pride's history with the new UFC game. So, what with them going to Japan next month, what are the chances of a little Lenne Hardt back in our lives? I know it's not happening but, man, it would be pretty great.
